Part 33: The Yoko

-Naruto POV-
We were heading north towards the Yoko. I had put on a warm sleeveless dark blue coat that reached my knees, it was lined with dark red fur. On the back of my cloak was the Uzumaki swirl in red with the Kanji for 'Wild' on it and along the bottom there were dark red flames, it was a gift from the apes when they learned that I had mastered Sage mode. Sasuki put on a fur lined black cloak.

As we ran, she spoke. "You know, the coat suits you, you should wear it more." She said.

I said. "Well, I would, but it covers my tattoos and I can't use the one on my back." I said.

"What does that one even do?" She asked.

"If I tell, you can't tell a soul." I said.

She nodded. "I swear on the Uchiha." She said.

She nodded. "Well, why can't you just take it off when you want to sacrifice a soul. Either way, don't you have a build up of souls by now?" She asked.

I nodded. "I guess that's true, maybe I will start wearing it more." I said.

"So is that really the reason you stopped wearing a shirt? Because I heard different." She said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh, and what did you hear?" I asked.

"Well, I heard you stopped wearing a shirt because you slept around so much that it was more convenient." She said.

"Kami, information travels so far." I said.

She laughed. "Actually, I passed through one of the towns you had visited shortly after you." She said.

I nodded. "Makes sense." I said.

She nodded. "How many people have you slept with?" She asked.

I chuckled. "Only two people know the answer to that question and one of them is dead." I said.

She raised a brow and was going to speak again when Uchiwa screeched. I put a hand over my eye and saw a whole regiment of Iwa ninja ahead.

I held up my hand and we came to a skidding halt. "There's a regiment of Iwa ninja ahead. Full stealth, follow my lead." I said as I hid my presence and chakra, raising my hand.

She did the same as I moved next to her. "Brace your shoulder." I said.

"What?" She asked right as Uchiwa swooped down and grabbed us by our wrists. He flew us up above the clouds.

Her breath hitched at the view. "It's amazing up here." She said.

I nodded. "Few will ever see what lies above the clouds. Uchiwa will carry us the rest of the way." I said.

She nodded. "Wait, why didn't we do this in the first place?" She asked.

"If you were a bird his size, would you want to carry humans around all the time?" I asked.

She nodded. "I see your point." She said.

An hour later he just dropped us. Sasuki nearly screamed, but I grabbed her in a princess carry activating sage mode and Jaku flow. Right before we hit, I released a blast of wind from my feet. We landed with a small thud.

I set her down. "Holy shit." She said.

"That's another reason why he doesn't fly me places." I said.

She nodded. "Holy crap, that was kind of cool." She said.
