My phone lights up beside me on my desk.

Mrs. Lee adores me so much. Not because am good at art which am most definitely not for I can't even draw a circle with that damn paintbrush.
But because I, ages ago complimented her fashion sense out of the blue.

And from that day on- that lady worships me. I get VIP treatment every time it's art class.
I could literally bring my household into the class and stay there but she would never mind.

My alarm wakes me up next morning. My alarm as in my mom. Thee mom. "Did you sleep late last night?"
I hear her questioning me as she opens the blinds letting the sun rays pierce my darkass room.

I grunt, "Who on earth would ask such a question in the middle of the morning mom?"

I uncover my blanket and look at her through squinted eyes. She is standing right beside my bed with hands on her waist.

"Me. Your mom would. Now show me your phone."

I scorn. Whats up with her today? "How worse can you get mom? My phone? I just woke-"

Before I can finish my sentence she tucks her hand under my pillow and with a jerk grabs my phone. Shit. Why did I sleep with the phone under there?

I bolt up in the bed yet and follow my mom who is already heading out of room with my phone in her eyes.

From behind, I can see her opening my Instagram. "Mom, we agreed upon this that you wouldn't go through my chats yourself, I myself show you every inch of my phone on weekends!" I whine.

But she isn't listening. I tail her all the way to kitchen.

What a start to the day. I had planned to stay in bed half-asleep for at least 15 minutes more, then I'd take a turn in my parents' room for another 15 minutes, then when mom would bring her spout, I'd finally get into the bathroom and take a final power nap there.
Who knew a demon would possess my mom and she'd jump to my phone at 7am?

"What about art class?" Mom says when she finally stops in her tracks eyeing my phone with all her might.

Yeah, she actually went through my chat with Da-eun then. I try to think of something.
"Art class? Um-" I mentally slap myself and Da-eun too, "To... complete the worksheet. We'd get more time..-"
