right person, wrong time.
right script, wrong line.
right poem, wrong rhyme.
and a piece of you,
that was never mine.

I almost yeet my phone out the window of the cafeteria when this tweet pops up.
I and Da-eun are sitting at the last table. She is busy munching her food while scrolling through reels.
My delulu skyrockets at this tweet. I gulp my food and stare at the tweet contemplating wtf it's supposed to mean.
"Oh damn, it's the song!" Da-eun exclaims. I turn and see she has opened his tweet too.
"What?" "You don't know? The song 'The Eyes, Chico. They never lie" by OURGRND. Not technically a song but a piece of music you can say..." She likes the tweet, "Damn, he does really have a good taste in music!"
I want to exaggerate and tell her about our eye contact in history class to Da-eun so she can feed my delulu (A blind leads another blind) but my conscience is not ready to believe whatever am thinking.
I mean, it was just an accidental eye contact, nothing more right? Why would Lee Felix of Stray Kids post about a silly eye contact with some random girl like Park Chae-ryo? He probably even forgot about it or never noticed in the first place.
To distract myself- "So when are you going to execute your so called plan to bring Felix and Jennie together?" I say to Da-eun while mouthful of food. She bobs her head for a pause- "During art class" "How?" "It's top secret, sorry. When it gets successful, imma tell it to you" She snaps back. I roll my eyes and continue on my food.
(Later in art class)
I greet Mrs. Lee extra polite because we have to stay back and skip math today.
Da-eun said she'll be right back because she has to execute her plan. I insisted on joining her just in case anything goes wrong but my stubborn sunshine didn't agree obviously.
Before I get to sit in front of my canvas- Mrs. Lee asks me "Hey, Chae-ryo? Can you please bring some paint tools from the art storage downstairs?"
As much as I like taking the advantage of being personal favourite of her, I hate when she asks me to do labour. Like ugh lady, go bring them yourself- no one is interested in the class whatsoever.
I try my best to not roll my eyes when I politely say "Sure, why not?" And am off muttering under my breath. I almost laugh at the way my fake smile disappears as soon as I am out of the class.
My phone chimes in my pocket.
