I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. It's been ringing since 10:30, but I haven't gotten the energy to answer.
"Hello?" I finally answered after 28 missed calls
"Y/n, I have received the contracts. Thank you for signing and not arguing against it."
"Mhm, but you know I just don't understand why you would do such a reckless thing? This isn't like you. But, why me of all people?"
"Because you're the person I trust the most."
I can't take it anymore.
"What if I betray you? What if all these years I've had a revenge planned out? Will you really give it all up? Without putting up a fight to it?" My voice started to crack, and my eyes were tearing up.
"Then do it. You have every right for revenge. Do you remember what I said that night? 'No child deserves this'."
"Mhm." Tears were running down my face
"Well, you were still a child. I hope you forgive me after I die. If you do betray me, then at least promise me something."
"Hm?"
"Please, make sure I die by your hands. Make sure that you are the one who gets to hear my last breath, not anyone else." I could hear her voice crack. She was crying.
"That's absurd. How could you even say that?" I can't accept it.
"Promise me, Y/n. Please, make sure you're the one ending my life. That is my last order. Kim Y/n, first and eldest daughter of Kim kang-dae, I, Ms. Jeon, order and demand you to be the one who kills me."
I want to perish. My entire world is crumbling down.
"Please don't do this to me..." I sobbed
"I'd rather have you betray me than anyone else, and whether you do betray me or not, please promise me I'll take my last breath before you."
"Y/n, dear, please. Do you understand?"
"Yes, I understand and accept." I was crying uncontrollably.
This was preposterous. This entire thing is stupid.
"Don't mention anything to the others. This is written in the contract, and I suppose you didn't read as thoroughly as you were taught because you missed it and still signed it." She laughed through the tears
"This is a childish move, and you know it." I was mad at her, at myself, at everyone.
"Just stay safe and update us."
"Whatever."
"Eh? Whatever? That's unlike you. Cheer up. Go wash up and find us more information." She continued to laugh
"Mhm." The tears wouldn't stop.
"Stop being such crybaby and go outside. You have a mission."
She was right. I did have a mission. It is a mission that I didn't care much for at this moment.
"I'm hanging up now." Beep beep
"She didn't even wait for me to say goodbye," I scoffed and sniffed
3:30 PM
After more crying and thinking, I washed up and got dressed up. My face is a little puffed up, so I tried to make it go away.
It seemed like the boys had left early in the morning and met with enhypen in the meanwhile. I went out to grab coffee and food.
"When are they gonna come backkkkk?" I walked around my room, feeling bored.
