1:10 AM

I forgot to buy sleeping pills and yet again have to suffer through a sleepless night.

The balcony door was open to let some fresh air in, but the sounds of cars were too loud. As I went to close it, I heard my name being called from outside. It was Seungcheol.

"Ling? Are you awake?" I stood by the door to listen to what he had to say.

"Did you actually sleep tonight?" He continued

"I need to change my bandage, I had Jeonghan change it for me in the morning, and I feel it being moist. It feels nasty." He wasn't giving up.

"If you don't respond, I'll jump over to your room and wake you up." He warned

"I'm serious!" Was he though?

"Please don't get mad. You told me to be your guest." He whispered, and I suddenly heard a loud thud and groaning.

Did he actually jump??

I ran to my balcony and found him on the ground.

"Seungcheol!" He stood up and dusted himself off.

"I'm okay, augh!" He limped into my room.

"You are not okay! How could you be so  careless??" I helped him walk over to me bed.

"You weren't responding, and my bandage needed to be changed." He lay on his stomach. He was shirtless, once again.

"Not even a 'please'." I scoffed

"Could you please change my bandage?" He muffled into the sheets.

"You must be exhausted," I took off the bandage and cleaned it.

"I am." He hissed. "Can you please be more gentle?" He punched the bed.

"You always act like a tough guy, but even the smallest wound brings you down." I put my hands on his warm body.

"Mhm." I could feel his voice.

"Your hands are so cold." He muffled

"Is that so?" I traced his scars.

"Mhm." I stopped.

"Why did you stop?"

"You know, the first night I saw your scars," I paused, "so many thoughts crossed my mind."

"Such as?"

"What meaning and history each scar carried and whom they were caused by." I continued to trace his scars.

"You know what," He sat up.

"The convenience store down the street serves really good tteokbokki, and I'm craving some right now."

"Tteokbokki? Now?" I was confused

"Yes, now. Wear something warm, I'll go grab a shirt and meet you by your door?"

"Um right yes sure." I stood up and went to find a hoodie.

He left, and I got ready. Not five minutes went by, and a knock was heard on my door.

I went to go open it.

"You ready?" He asked

"Yeah, let's go?" I nodded and followed him out.

"Why did you suddenly crave tteokbokki?" I asked

"Your cold hands. It reminded me of winter." I blinked confusingly

"What? Have you not had warm tteokbokki during the cold winters? You've been missing out, I understand you were in China, but still." He was absloutly shocked.
