21. Cancelling trip due to sister's teasing wife.

AITA for cancelling our trip to my family due to my sister's teasing my wife?

My (m27) wife (f29) and I does not like texting but my wife even moreso. I'm ok with sending a few word replies but my wife would still prefer calling (she loves to talk). I don't mind people teasing me about it but my wife is sensitive about it. My family has been toning it down which my wife appreciates but today my sister (f22) did it again today. We were going to visit my family tomorrow. Sister tried to text me this morning about when we'll be arriving tomorrow but I was mowing the lawn and I forgot to reply back. Wife was shopping for our visit tomorrow when she got my sister's text. Sister teased her about how redundant it is to reply with 5 second phone calls and even sent a condescending gif to drive it home (I'll try to upload the picture on here of the messages but it wasn't funny).

I don't understand the preferences to call over the text tbh.

But what I can say is... The family is trying to call more to make you and your wife more comfortable, but you two should text more.

Not only your family have to accommodate you, you two also need to accommodate your family.

It goes both way.

My wife called me upset and I asked her to sent a picture of my sister's messages and I too was upset. I asked my wife if she's checked out yet and she told me no so I told her just leave the cart there and come home because we're not going to my parents' house.

WTF?!

So you abandoned your kart in a market, full/half full of grocery, complicating the employee day just for a fucking text?!

YTA. I don't need more... You are already pissing me off.

but their married so I expect them to understand especially since I've told them many times my wife hates it when people make fun of her. And told them to blame their daughter for them not being able to see us tomorrow.

Tbh I would be happy.

Ok, so...

I snooped in the comments and discovered an interesting thing.

Apparently the wife when she see a message, she calls and if the other person don't answer she left a voice mail.

You will think "well, she will left a voice mail with the answer", NO.

She says "call me back".

I would be pissed too.
