Mornings can feel tender and serene when greeted by a delicate breakfast, served just as you wake. Mom's gentle nagging becomes the day's fresh juice, while a sip of Dad's concern about returning home on time serves as a prasad. Such a morning sets the tone for a blessed day. And this was the daily routine of my elder sister.
A perfect life. It was my dream: a reliable job, caring parents, a good salary, and weekends off. But, unfortunately, my dream is someone else's reality, and she's not as happy about it.
And what about me? A loser. A complete failure. A failure in my career, as a daughter, as a sibling, as a friend ... just a failure in life. But I wasn't always like this. Once, I was the top student, a cherished daughter, and a devoted sister. I excelled in every class until that fateful day -- the one that changed everything.
I've lost everything. I've lost myself. The hand that once bestowed blessings is now clenched into a fist. The nagging that was once music to my ears has fallen silent. The comfort that used to be a token of love has vanished. Now, I'm nothing but an empty void-a freelance tenant in my parents' home, or worse, a burden.
If my past were a book, I would tear out its pages and burn them, ensuring no one could ever find it -- not even me.
