My Best Friend (Dustin story)

Chapter six: the monster

Here I was again in Mike Wheeler's Basement. He was worried about El," I just I can't believe she didn't come back" mike said. "She's gotta be close" Dustin said "She said it wasn't safe. She just messed up the compasses because she wanted to protect us. She didn't betray us." Mike said "Mike, calm down" I told him "I Shouldn't have yelled at her. I never should've done that." He told us "Mike, this Isn't your fault." I told him "Yeah, it's Lucas'." He said "I wasn't his fault, either." Dustin said "it wasn't his fault?" Mike asked "no" I said "so you're saying he wasn't way out of line?" Mike asked "totally, but so we're you!" Dustin yelled "What?" Mike asked "and so was El" I told him "oh, give me a break" he said "no, Mike, you give us a break. All three of you were being a bunch of little assholes! Me and Cassie were the only reasonable ones." Dustin said "but the bottom line is... you pushed first" I said "and you know the rule. You draw first blood" Dustin finished for me "no! No way! I'm not shaking his hand." Mike said "oh, come on Michael." I yelled "you're shaking his hand." "No I'm not." Mike said "this isn't a discussion. This is the rule of the law. Obey or be Banished from the party" Dustin said "do you want to be Banished?" I asked "no" he said "good" I said as I grabbed my bag and jacket "where are we going?" Mike asked as Dustin grabbed his things. "Where do you think?" I asked "we're going to get Lucas" Dustin added "and then we're going to find Eleven" I said as Dustin handed Mike is stuff.

We went to Lucas's but he did not want to shake hands. Now we are looking for El.

"This is weird without Lucas." Dustin said as we rode the Bike's down the street, I was Borrowing Nancy's bike.
"He should of shaken my hand." Mike said "he's just jealous" Dustin said "What are you talking about?" mike asked I chuckled "Sometimes your total oblivious just blows my mind" I said Mike just looks at me "he's your best friend, right?" Dustin asked "yeah... I mean, I don't know" he said "It's fine. I get it. I didn't get he until the fourth grade. He had the advantage of living next door. But none of that matters" he told him "he's your best friend and then all of a sudden this girl shows up and starts living in your Basement and you pay more attention to her" I told him "that's not true" he told me "yes, it is. And you know it. And he knows it. But no one ever says anything until you both start yelled at each other" Dustin said
"He's not my best friend" he told us "Yeah right" I said " I mean he is, but so are yall and will." He said " you can only have one best friend, and for me it's Cassie" Dustin said "aw your my best friend too dust" I said. " you can have more then one best friend" mike said "no you can't." Dustin said " Says who?" Says logic." Dustin Replied. I let them have their Little conversation as I went Ahead of them.
"Hey umm guys." Yelled at them as they came to we're I was. "You don't think.." Uh Definitely" mike said

We were walking in the Woods looking for El calling her name and then we heard footsteps behind us. It was Troy and James. "Hey, byers" tory said "run!" I yelled as I grabbed Dustin's hand.

We got to the area where they found will's fake body "ah cramp cramp" I stopped to help him when James came up behind us "Where's Troy?" I asked and right on cue he came out of the woods. Mike came back to help when James grabbed Dustin and tory grabbed mike "let them go" I yelled "let them go" I yelled "jump or toothless here gets a fast trip to the dentist and frogface gets Cut" Tory said "no Cassie I don't need my baby teeth" Dustin cried "Cass come on don't jump" mike said "ok, ok calm down, if I jump you will let them go ok" I said as I walked closer to the Ledge. "Cassie don't come on" Dustin cried "Cass don't." Mike cried, I looked back at my friends and slightly smiled as I closed my eyes and walked off. I was waiting to hit hard water when I opened my eyes to me Floating and I was going back up. I landed with I thud as I looked over to to Troy and James running "that's right she's our friend and she crazy!" Dustin yelled as him and mike run over to me "Cassie!" Dustin yelled as I wrapped his arms around me. "Hey, I am ok Dustin I am ok" I said as I Buried my face in his shoulder "don't do that again I could have lived without my teeth" he said but he Paused for a moment "but I can't live without you" he told me "I can live without you either" I said as we broke the hug that's when I heard "I am sorry, I am the monster" El said "no your not, you saved us you saved Cass." Mike said to her as he hugged her and me and Dustin joined in the hug.
