You sigh, looking over your notes from the final interviews. You were still in the gym, supposed to be watching the practice. When you think your notes contained everything important, you slip the tablet back into your bag. You look at the court, feeling impressed as you looked at all the players moving around. It's been years since you last played volleyball yourself, but you remembered the rules. You knew what was going on. Your eyes trailed, lingering over the last four players you had interviewed.
They certainly had unique personalities. You couldn't tell which one was more interesting. If you took your personal preferences in a person into consideration, you think you like Sakusa the most. Not to mention his wrists were far more flexible than everyone elses, giving him a slight advantage in game. But you weren't going to start going out of your way to make yourself seem like a fan of any of the guys. You had no interest in any of that at the moment, since you were always busy with work.
From time to time, the four guys you interviewed would glance over at you. Each had their own impression of you. Sakusa was the only one to remember exactly the first impression made the moment you first walked through the doors to the gym. After all, he was the one that spiked the ball that nearly hit you.

In the locker room after practice, the guys were just being themselves as they cleaned up and prepared to go home.
Bokuto took this chance to finally talk to Sakusa. "So, Omi-kun, what do you think of L/n-san?"
Sakusa sighs, closing his locker. "They're just an average person, from what I was able to see. The only thing that sticks out with them is their career. Stop trying to set me up with people, all of you."
Hinata pouted. "But they're totally your type, right?"
"I don't have a type. Please drop this subject."
Atsumu smirked. "Why don't I just ask them out for ya, free of charge. Ya can pay me back on yer wedding day."
Sakusa grabs his bag. "Leave me alone. My love life is of no concern of yours. How do you know they're not taken?"
Bokuto grins. "I asked them. They said they're single. If you want, I can ask them out for you."
"Don't get involved." The dark haired boy walks out, only to find you typing something on your tablet in the gym.
You look up, hearing the door close. "Oh, Sakusa-san."
Sakusa looks you up and down, ideas running through his head. "Why are you still here?"
"I was just talking with the coach for a bit longer. I wanted to go over things and make sure I didn't get too personal with any of you players."
He walks over to you, towering over your sitting form. "I'm irritated by my teammates. Mind making a pact with me?"
You raise a brow, suspicion in your gaze. "What's this about?"
"I'm constantly bothered about not being in a relationship, even though I've never been interested in those kinds of things. I have my own things going on, so I've never felt the desire to get intimate with another person, especially since no one would understand or respect my boundaries."
You look at your lap. "People bother me as well. My family wants me to think about settling down and starting a family, since I already have the financial stability needed for life."
Sakusa sits beside you. "Let's make a relationship pact. We pretend to date, just to get other people off our backs. Nothing serious has to occur between us, but we should act like a couple in public. Once word gets out, no one will bother us about relationships."
You hum, slowly turning your tablet off and putting it back into your bag. "I guess I can agree to something like that. Though, I won't be able to come out with this plan publicly until after I publish this article. It would seem suspicious if we start a relationship prior to its release."
He nods. "Do we have a deal?"
You nod. "Yes. From here on until we decide otherwise, we are a couple."
"Good." He looks away from you. "You should probably get going now."
You stand up, slinging your bag over your shoulder. "Yeah, I need to get home and get ready to start the editing process."
"Oh, before you go, we should exchange phone numbers." He holds out his phone in one hand, the other facing palm up for you to place to your phone.
You grab his phone as you give him yours. You type in all your contact info, then hold the phone for him to grab. "Here you go."
Sakusa takes his phone, putting yours into your hands. "I'll be keeping touch with you. I might have to arrange a fake date for us within the next week or so, just so my teammates get the idea that I'm seeing someone."
You put your phone into a pocket. "Alright. Just text me whenever. I'll see you some other time, Sakusa-san." You walk out of the building, heading back to your apartment so you can clean up, eat, and go to bed.
Sakusa hangs around in the gym just long enough for the others to come out. He watches as his three companions walk over towards him.
Bokuto gives a confused look. "Why are you still here? We thought you left."
He shrugs. "I was just talking with L/n-san. We exchanged numbers and will be keeping in touch."
Atsumu grins. "Scoring a person? I'm proud of ya, Omi-Omi. We should go out to celebrate ya making moves on such a hot person."
"Please don't talk about them like that."
Bokuto and Hinata gasped. "Are you dating them?!"
Sakusa doesn't look at the others as he begins walking away. "Who knows. Maybe that's for me to know, and you to eventually find out."
