Sakusa groaned, rolling out of bed. He didn't want to go to practice today. He'd rather stay at home all day. He's gotten into the habit of watching romance movies and trying to learn from them. He was wondering what he could do differently for you, mainly as a way to show his love. But the only thing he's gotten from this method was criticism from his teammates. Atsumu was especially bad with his comments about Sakusa's "last hope" for trying to have a genuine romance with you.

At practice, the setter just stared at the man that came all the way from Tokyo. "Omi, ya know, if ya really wanna show how much ya love L/n, maybe just be honest. If yer true to yerself, then they'll appreciate it."

Sakusa scoffed. "Miya, in case you didn't notice, being true to myself doesn't exactly involve a relationship. And this is the first time I've ever been in love with someone. I just wanna find different ways to make Y/n feel loved while not overwhelming them since they're very busy with the novel they're currently writing."

Atsumu hummed. "Then find a day when they've been really stressed and had a pretty hard time. Take em to a nice restaurant, and then spend a romantic night at her house or a hotel or something."

"Is that really the advice you're giving me?"

The fake blonde huffed out a breath, crossing his arms over his chest. "Do ya want help with your problem or not?"

Sakusa rolls his eyes. "Fine. I'll take your advice. What restaurant do you recommend?"

Atsumu grins. "Don't worry about that. I'll get ya hooked up with something really good."

You lean back in your chair, feeling your body temperature rising by the minute. Of course you haven't been sleeping, working on everything for this novel 24/7. You hadn't eaten in a day or two, too busy with trying to get everything right. No one has come to bother you, you even told Sakusa to just stay away while you're on the final stretch of this project.

You were fairly sure you were getting sick, but you refused to admit it. If it got any worse, you would just go home and continue working from there. Of course, you would try to. The migraine you were currently experiencing was making it quite difficult to work with the computer. And your coffee was no longer helping with your drowsiness.

In short, you're screwed.

You were beginning to regret telling Sakusa to stay away for a bit. You were pretty sure he'd be able to help you out with everything. However, you're being stubborn about getting this novel finished. You're finally on the last chapter. All you need to do now is wrap the story up.

Should be easy enough, right? Wrong. This is the most stressful part. This ending needs to be perfect. One mistake with this ending could completely ruin this novel. If you wanted to give the audience what they're waiting for, you need to get this done right. And so, you've been thinking of various endings you could write. But none of them really spoke to you. And that's what's creating the stress that's finally boiled over.

And this was the moment Sakusa was finally going to go through with the advice he got from Atsumu. The outside hitter shows up at your office, ready to head into your office to take you out for a nice night together. He knows that by now, you could use a little time to relax. And he took this opportunity to book an appointment for massages for you two. He would take you to get a massage, then take you out to dinner at the nicest restaurant in the prefecture, which happened to be nearby. He even brought his car with him, a bouquet of (favorite flower) sitting in the passenger seat. He also went to pick out a good outfit for you. He would take you to a nice hotel nearby and let you clean up and get changed, then take you out for what he was hoping would be the best night of your life.

Sakusa hesitates outside of your office door. He didn't know what kind of mood you were in, and he had come unannounced. He was just hoping you wouldn't get mad at him for this. He really does have your best interest in mind. He slowly opens the door, carefully entering the room. "Y/n? Are you able to call it a night?"

You look up from your screen, eyes watery and full of stress. "Yes, please. I can't do this right now."

He rushes to your side, wrapping his arms around you and trying to comfort you. "What's wrong?"

"I don't know what to do for this ending! It's stressing me out, Kiyoomi!" You sob onto his shoulder, not noticing how nicely he dressed.

Sakusa sighs, gently stroking your hair. "It's ok. I have a plan for tonight. It should help get rid of all that stress. Why don't you turn that off and I'll take us someplace else?"

You move away, sniffling as the tears kept falling. "Ok." You turn back to your computer, saving you current progress before turning the system off.

The outside hitter is rubbing your tears away with his thumbs, trying to help you however he could. "Are you hungry?"

"I haven't eaten anything yet." You grab your stuff, getting out of your chair. You try smiling at him, but it doesn't really stick. "Let's go."

He looks at you lovingly, taking your hand in his. "I'll be driving us somewhere first. You should get cleaned up, I even brought you a nice change of clothes." He leads you to his car, unlocking it and opening the passenger door for you.

You gasp when you see the bouquet on the seat. "Did you get this for me?"

Sakusa nods, picking it up and handing it to you. "I thought it would be a nice start to the night. Do you like them?"

You smile, clutching them closer to your chest. "I love them. Thank you." You carefully slide into the passenger seat.

The dark haired male smiles, closing the car door before getting in on the driver's side. He starts the car up once you both have your seatbelts on. "We'll be stopping at a hotel first. I booked a room for the night, so you're able to clean up. If you don't wanna stay there overnight, it's fine. Don't force yourself to do anything you don't want to do." He drives away, ready to start this romantic night with you.
