Sakusa opens the car door for you the moment the vehicle is parked in front of your parents' house. "Do I look ok, Y/n?"

You nod, stepping out of the car. "Don't worry about your appearance. You're definitely gonna make a good first impression on my parents. I'm sure of it."

He gives a small smile, appreciating your words. "Thank you. By the way, that outfit looks really nice on you. Maybe you should wear it on one of our dates."

"We'll see." You walk up to the front door, ringing the doorbell. You noticed that you two had gotten here a little early, but your parents would most likely like that. You put a smile on your face, trying not to look as nervous as you feel for this dinner.

Your dad opens the door, smiling the moment his eyes land on you. "Y/n! It's been so long since you were last here. Come in, we have a lot to talk about."

You slowly step into the house, removing your shoes before heading down the hallway. "Where's mom?"

"Busy making dinner." The older man looks towards the dark haired male that just started taking his shoes off. "I suppose this is the guy your mom was talking about? Your boyfriend?"

You nod, not daring to spare your dad a glance. "Y-yes. This is Sakusa Kiyoomi."

Sakusa puts a kind smile on his face. "Nice to meet you, sir. I've been looking forward to meeting you and your wife since Y/n and I got together." He gives a slight bow.

Your dad watches his every move. "Yeah. Your the first person Y/n has ever even talked about having some sort of relationship with. They've never really been into romance, unless that's what they're writing about."

The volleyball player nods. "I'm aware. It surprised me to find out they've never dated anyone before. I've read all their books and thought there must've been some experience with how well she writes romance in some of her novels."

The older man snorts. "You'd think, but no. Y/n just has talent when it comes to making up stories. They always had been the type to spend hours writing up different worlds, creating characters. All their teachers loved their creativity when it came to writing." He leads the other male to the living room, where they both sit on a couch.

You take a seat in a chair that was a little bit away from the couch. "Dad, you don't need to talk about any of that."

Sakusa hums, taking a look at you. "But I wanna learn more about you. You refuse to tell me more than what you think is necessary. I'm actually happy to be learning about your childhood a little." He turns back to your dad. "Did they ever play sports?"

Your dad chuckled. "They actually played volleyball until they graduated from high school. They were, what, a wing spiker, or something along those lines. And a pretty good one, too. It surprised me a little when they decided they wanted to be a professtional writer."

The volleyball player chuckled lightly. "Oh, really? I never heard about that before. I actually play volleyball. I was always a wing spiker in school. And now I'm an outside hitter."

"Do ya have fun?"

The dark eyed male nods, a slight smile still on his face. "It's something I enjoy almost as much as being around Y/n. Every time I'm with them, I feel like I can do just about anything. They're a special person, and I'm glad to have met them."

Your dad smiled warmly. "That's good to hear. My wife is really excited to meet you. She probably has an infinite amount of questions to ask ya."

Your mom suddenly walks into the room, a big smile on her face. "Dinner's ready. Let's all go to the table. We can hold a nice conversation while eating."

You all walk into the dining room, taking your seats. You sit beside Sakusa, your dad sitting across from you. Your mom was sitting across from your fake boyfriend, a seemingly innocent smile on her face.

The older woman chuckled heartily, looking at the man sitting across from her. "So, Kiyoomi-kun... how did you and Y/n meet?"

You tensed, holding some food in your chopsticks. "Mom, you don't need to ask that right off the bat."

Sakusa hummed. "It's fine, Y/n. We met recently, actually. They were writing an article on my team, the MSBY Black Jackals. We talked for a while, and on their last day working with us, I asked them out."

Your mom hums, looking at her plate. "I see. So you haven't been dating long then. What did you say you do for a living?"

"I'm a professional volleyball player."

You look at your dad, making eye contact with him. You use your eyes to ask him to try stopping your mom.

Your dad sighs. "Honey, maybe you should take it easy with these questions."

Your mom dismisses him. "Oh, shush now, dear. I need to gain knowledge on our child's first relationship. So, Kiyoomi-kun, how far have you gone with Y/n?"

You nearly choke on your food. "Mom! That's enough!"

The outside hitter flusters, cheeks turning red. This question was one of a select few that he hadn't been expecting. "Oh, well... um, we haven't really done anything. We hold hands, and only kissed a few times. Nothing other than that." He looks down as his plate of food, wondering if he would be able to eat without having to answer more uncomfortable questions.

"I see." The woman closes her eyes, taking a deep breath. "What are your intentions with my child?"

"To love and cherish them."

"Do you ever plan on settling down and starting a family with them?"

Sakusa hesitates, not sure what the right answer to this question is. "Well, I hadn't really thought of it before, considering we only recently started going out. But, if I really have to say, I think it would be nice to have a family with Y/n one day, if that's what they wish to do." He hoped he gave a good response. He just wanted to get your parents to like him, so that this plan can keep working.

Meanwhile, your face felt like it was on fire. You weren't sure why he answered that way, but it made you become all flustered. "Mom, please stop with the questions." You try hiding your face, too embarrassed by this situation.

Your mom smiles happily at your fake boyfriend. "Good answer. Welcome to the family, Kiyoomi-kun."
