Ty woke up from the feeling of Andi rustling around under the sheets while his hand grasped hers from under his pillow. She used her wrapped hand from the previous night to rub at her eyes, ridding of the exhaustion from getting in so late.

She peeked over at her son and smiled at the sight of him lying on his stomach, his head turned the opposite way which gave her a view of his curls.

Without waking him up, she pried her hand from his and landed on the soft carpeted floors, entering the bathroom so that she could make herself presentable after not doing anything the night before.

She did her business and once running a brush through her hair and brushing her teeth, she stared at the gauze around her knuckles. She knew she'd have to think of a lie if someone were to ask about it which she knew they would because she knew her family, they always asked questions.

With a faint huff and another rub at her eyes, she exited the bathroom and made her way out into the hallway, shutting the door with a quiet click. Her socked feet padded down the wood flooring and she heard the sound of a cabinet shutting.

Ty snuck around the corner and set her eyes on her Dad, the man rummaging through the cabinets while a pan of eggs sat on the stove and a sheet of bacon sat next to it.

"Wondered when you'd get up. What time did you get in last night?" His voice broke her out of her stare and she instantly covered her hand up even though he hadn't seen her yet.

"Around twelve. Didn't want to sleep without Andi so I didn't think it was a big deal if I came here." She shrugged, watching him pull out two mugs from a cabinet and set them down on the counter.

"That boy of yours is something else. We had fun, though, told me all about his friends in school. He even asked me if he'd ever get a sibling of his own. Wanted to know why he was the only boy in school without one." He muttered, pouring the coffee from the coffee pot into each mug and sliding one over to her.

She glanced down into the black liquid and stared at her reflection, the sight making her look away. Guilt racked her chest as he spilled the conversation he had with his grandson and she bit the inside of her cheek, running her good hand down her face which she then held under her chin.

He grabbed two plates from another cabinet and dropped a few pieces of bacon on both before doing the same with the scrambled eggs, delivering her one plate while he sat down to the side of her in his seat.

"You know I can't just go out and get pregnant by some stranger to make him happy. If I was in the right mind space with nothing holding me down and reminding me of my past, I'd make sure it happened for that boy. He's my heart and soul, but there's no one out there for me. He wants a puppy so I'm thinking about getting one for him." She mumbled, sending a glare his way before tearing off a piece of her bacon strip.

Kevin chuckled and shook his head in annoyance. "A fuckin' puppy ain't gonna do shit. Yeah, he'll have a best friend in the form of a dog but think about how you and your brothers grew up. Happy as you could've been with what you had. You three were the best of friends, even more so when Sebastian came along."

"What do you expect me to do then? Adopt a kid? Yeah, that'll for sure go great. I didn't choose to get pregnant with Andi, it just happened and in that time of my life I was different than I am now." She grunted out, fisting her fingers and stretching out her wrapped knuckles, the flesh reopening and making her huff at the stinging sensation.

He pointed a finger at her and tipped his head, his eyes holding amusement. "You said there was no one out there for you. Why? Just because you tried and failed two times doesn't mean it's over for you. As your father, I know there's a man out there waitin' for you who'll take that pain and return it to you as love. You may be fuckin' stubborn as a Bull and hard-headed but you're going to be lovesick when he comes along."
