Henry's POV
"What the heck Sarah!" I exclaim, as we suddenly stop moving in front of her house. I pull my arm away from her and try to walk. My legs feel like jello and I can barely stand, let alone walk.
I take a few steps, before I feel my legs give in and I start to fall. Sarah's there in an instant, she grabs me and helps me sit down on her front steps.
"Are you okay?" She asks me, her eyes filled with worry.
"Yeah, just trying to get my legs back." I reply. I'm a little nauseous too, but I don't want Sarah to feel worse than she already probably does."Okay, if you're sure. Sorry about that, I just discovered it and it's hard to get used to." She looks down her feet sheepishly.
"It's fine, let's just get inside." I reach out a hand for her to grab, and she pulls me up without hesitation. She lets me lean on her as we walk up to her front door, I'm glad because I don't think I could walk on my own otherwise.
"Sarah can we even get back in? Wasn't there a lockdown or something in place?" Debbie asks. Sarah bites her lip brides reply. I've noticed she does that when she's nervous.
"I'm sure it will be fine." Sarah replies confidently. I can see she's putting on a brave face, I'm not sure for whose benefit though. She opens her front door, so Debbie can go through, and then helps me through.
"I think I'm okay now Sarah." I tell her.Which is true, I can feel my legs again and my stomach doesn't feel like it's just barely survived the worst roller coaster in the world.
"Okay, but you can still hold on to me if you need to." she says reassuringly."Thanks." I reply, as I move away so I can stand for myself. I follow her and Debbie back to her basement.
Everything is sealed off in regards to the sub-basement headquarters of her parents.
Sarah tries desperately to open it with her bracelet, but it just isn't working. And it doesn't help that the robot lady is constantly going off, telling us about some kind of safe mode, and only registered super heroes can open it.
"What the heck is a 'registered superhero'?" Sarah asks, sliding to the floor in defeat. I sit down beside her.
"I don't know. Maybe it means they're not a sidekick and the computer knows it?" I offer as a suggestion. It doesn't make sense and I know it, but I don't know what else to suggest."Didn't da..Captain Man say something about a 'superhero commission board' or something?" Debbie asks. Sarah whips her head around to look at her cousin.
"Yeah he did! Maybe a registered superhero is one registered with them!" She exclaims hopefully. "Now we just need to find one." she adds.
"One slight problem, where do we find one?" I ask. Debbie's face falls, but Sarah grins at me.
"I'm pretty sure we work for one." my eyes widen as I realize what she said.
"But he didn't believe us." Debbie points out what I'm already thinking."Which is why we'll just have to be more convincing." Sarah flashes us a wicked grin.
~10 minutes later~
"I can't believe we're doing this." I mutter to no one in particular.
I'm standing in the middle of Sarah's backyard, dressed in some of her pinkest, frilliest clothes.
I'm not sure that Sarah's plan is going to work. Or if it's worth wearing purple eyeshadow for.
"Perfect!" Sarah exclaims, stepping back to admire her handiwork.
"If you say so." I reply, sighing.Sarah pulls out her phone, to call the Captain Man hotline, but before she can, my watch starts beeping. It's a call from Ray.
"Hey, what up?"
"Sarah was right, are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, but we need you here ASAP." I tell him quickly.
"Be right there."
"Thank you, Sarah and I don't really know what we're doing."
"Good tell Sarah I'm coming, and look... What are you wearing!" Ray exclaims, catching sight of my outfit. I look down at myself.
"Nothing. Just get here soon." I sigh. I know I look ridiculous. I hang up, and glare at Sarah.
