Henry's POV

Seeing the girl you have an undeniable crush on collapse in front of you after defeating the worst super villain ever in the history of Swellview definitely leaves an impression on you to say the least.

As soon as I see Sarah fall to the ground, I scramble to her side. All I can focus on is the fact that she's not moving and the undeniable feeling of panic in the pit of my stomach.

"Sarah!" I call out to her as I scoop her into my arms. She doesn't respond, and I quickly look around to survey the damage. The remains of Lord X's robot litter the ground around us, staining the pristine lawn of this superhero fort hold with metal gears and motor oil.

Somehow, Lord X survived the fall to the ground from the robot intact, and he is slumped against a large piece of metal, not too far from where I am with Sarah. I briefly consider going over to see if he's a threat, but the fact Sarah's breathing is becoming painfully slower and that there are other superheroes headed his way stops me.

"Sarah!" her parents call out at they reach us. I don't bother looking at them when all I can do is stare at her face. They kneel down beside us and quickly take inventory of her. It's just now that I notice her ankle is bent awkwardly, trapped under a piece of metal.

"Her ankle, look," I manage to choke out. Her parents instantly turn their attention to her extremities to see what I mean. Her dad leans forward and carefully pries the metal off of his daughter, allowing me to stand up with her in my arms.

Looking around, I see that all the other robots seem to have frozen still. I guess that by disabling the main bot, all the others fell as well. The other heroes are roaming around, clearly trying to dismantle the remaining pieces of twisted metal.

"Kid Danger, let me take her to get help while you deal with the rest of this mess with my partner," Sarah's mom says, shooting me a pointed look.

I know just from that gaze, that she knows how I felt about her daughter, but her dad doesn't.

I reluctantly nod and hand Sarah over, unsure of what else to do. I watch as her mom hurries away and back into the building we had been in earlier.

"Ready to deal with him?" Sarah's dad asks me, nodding in the direction of Lord X. I nod my head without hesitation, and narrow my eyes on the one responsible for hurting Sarah.

We walk towards him together and haul him up to his feet. He stumbles for a second, before his eyes fly open and he see us holding on to him. He quickly tries to get out of our grasps, and appears to try and use powers, but suddenly freezes—not with powers I mean—and stares at us in shock.

"Is there a problem, Xander?"

Lord X stares at Sarah's dad in shock, I'm not sure if it's from being addressed by a name, or from something else entirely.

"What did you do?" he suddenly spits out, glaring at the superhero holding on to him. I'm starting to wonder if even remembers that I'm here too. If he actually forgot, I'd be more than happy to remind him with a punch to the face.

"What're you talking about? It was Sparkly that took you down," Sarah's dad says, glaring at Lord X.

"No, no, no! Not that!" Lord X exclaims.
"Then what?" I ask in confusion. He turns to look at me, and it's quite clear that he just remembered that I was here. Idiot, I think to myself. I really want to punch him now.

"My powers are gone!"

I'm instantly shocked, but I can't help but feel happy at that. Serves him right!

Sarah's dad looks taken aback for a second, but then he bursts out laughing.
"You got what you deserve after all these years, and now you're going to rot away in some cell for the rest of your life," he sneers.

Lord X looks surprised by what he says, even hurt maybe, but that was almost immediately replaced with white-hot fury.
"It's all your fault! You always had to have everything! You even got the girl!" he yells.
"The girl had a choice and she chose! You can't blame me for her own feelings!" Sarah's dad yells back, looking just as angry now.

I'm left horribly confused—just standing here—watching them yell at each other back and forth.

"Maybe if you weren't so perfect she wouldn't have chosen me over you!" Lord X screams, sounding somewhat hysterical now. As if realizing Lord X's undoing, Sarah's dad closes his eyes and takes a deep breath to seemingly compose himself.

"You need to stop blaming me for everything that didn't go your way in life," he says firmly. "I didn't take your powers, I didn't spitefully take 'your girl' as you put it, and I didn't try and kill every superhero that lives either. That was all you."

"Well now I get to rot in a cell thanks to you! So I can blame you!" Lord X yells, as if he completely missed the point of Sarah's dad's speech.

I'm out of the loop and am really unsure of what they're talking about, but even I can piece together that somehow they knew each other and got involved in some lovers' spat that ultimately caused their falling out.

"Actually," I speak up. "You can't blame him for being defeated, that was all Sparkly—as he said earlier."

Lord X seems at a loss for words after that—coming to terms that he's done and not escaping. Since he refuses to say anything else, Sarah's dad and I take him away and see to it that he's locked up somewhere secure where he'll never see the light of day again.

After that, I meet up with Ray and check to see how he made out during the battle. Unsurprisingly, he's uninjured, as well as Debbie. Apparently invincibility is inheritable. Debbie's mom has a few scratches and bruises, but otherwise she seems to have made out okay as well.

After checking in with them, I know it's time to go see Sarah. Her dad and I were informed by her mom that she was out cold and was sent into surgery to repair the damage to her ankle almost immediately.

Being told that her ankle was broken and that she was being sent into surgery almost causes me to have a breakdown right there in the hospital waiting room.

That scares me.

I've never felt so strongly for a girl before. I've liked girls, I've dated around, sure—but even when my previous girlfriends left for a weird reality show, I wasn't that worried or freaked out.

Sarah might be the end of me, but surprisingly—I'm totally okay with that, and as soon as she's up and awake—I'm going to tell her.

A/N:
Hey guys so I just randomly decided that I didn't have enough Henry POVs by the end of the book and decided to write one for fun to fill in some of the holes left by my ending.

Hope you liked it!

Just also wanted to say that I am working on the actual real sequel so idek when that will be up but it's in progress. Hopefully more updates on that soon!

Anyways, thanks for reading! :)
