The hospital room was eerily silent for several minutes as Y/n and Klaus sat, both still trying to process the gravity of the situation. The low hum of fear vibrated between them, but the sudden sound of gunshots pierced the air, followed by blood-curdling screams that echoed through the halls.

Y/n jumped in her seat, gasping loudly, her hands trembling as she gripped the edge of the bed. "Oh my god," she whispered, her heart racing as her eyes darted toward the door. The screams grew closer, louder, more frantic.

Klaus was still frozen, his mind spinning as he tried to make sense of what was happening. "This... this can't be happening..." he muttered under his breath, his body tense.

Suddenly, a loud bang rattled the door, followed by desperate pounding. "Help! Help me!" someone shouted from the other side, their voice hoarse with terror. Y/n's breath caught in her throat as she stared at the door, horrified. The pounding continued for a few more seconds before a deafening gunshot echoed through the hallway.

The body of the patient hit the floor with a sickening thud, their lifeless form visible under the crack of the door. Blood began to pool beneath it.

Y/n let out a blood-curdling scream, her body shaking uncontrollably. "No, no, no!" she cried, burying her face in her hands. Klaus, pale with shock, cursed under his breath, his wide eyes fixed on the horror just outside their door.

"Y/n," Klaus whispered, panic creeping into his voice, "we have to go. We can't stay here. Whoever's out there, they're coming."

Y/n was still shaking, but she nodded, her eyes full of terror. "We have to get out of here... I can't... I can't stay," she choked, her hands trembling as she yanked the IV out of her arm, the needle clattering to the floor.

Klaus quickly got to his feet and rushed to her side, helping her off the patient bed. "Come on, let's go," he said, his voice steadier now, though his hands were still shaking. "We'll figure this out."

They hurried over to the window, but when Klaus threw the curtain aside, they were greeted with a horrifying sight. The drop was six stories high—a sheer fall that would surely kill them if they jumped. Y/n's heart sank at the realization.

"We'll die if we jump," she whispered, panic settling into her bones. Her eyes scanned the outside, desperate for another option, but there was none.

Klaus let out a frustrated breath, running a hand through his hair. "We don't have a choice," he said, turning back to face her. His face was tight with fear, but his voice was determined. "We'll have to go out into the hallway and make a run for it."

Y/n hesitated, staring at the door where only moments ago someone had been murdered just feet away from them. "Klaus... I don't know if I can..." she whispered, her voice trembling.

Klaus gently grabbed her shoulders, making her look at him. "Y/n, we have to. I know you're scared—I'm scared too. But we can't stay in here. If we do, we're sitting ducks." His voice was urgent but filled with sincerity. "We have to be smart and fast. Stay behind me, no matter what. Okay?"

Y/n swallowed hard and nodded, blinking back tears. "Okay. I trust you."

Klaus offered her a small, grim smile. "Good. Let's go."

He slowly approached the door, his hand hovering over the handle. He turned back to Y/n one more time. "Stay right behind me. Don't look back, just move."

Y/n gave a quick, shaky nod, her breath coming in shallow gasps.

Klaus opened the door cautiously, his movements deliberate and slow. As they stepped into the hallway, both of them were immediately greeted by the horrifying sight of multiple bodies strewn across the floor—patients, nurses, police officers. Pools of blood glistened under the dim emergency lights, creating a scene straight out of a nightmare.
