A Little Light In The Darkness

The sun finally showed it's bright face once again as it peeked through the low horizon. The bright colors of red and orange mixed into an delicate mixture of warmth and coldness. The light of the new days sun there shone, made the new fallen snow glisten.

Y/n had for a few minutes been tossing around underneath the warm duvet that she shared together with Sylvar, who were still asleep. She took another deep breath, trying to calm herself down, but the dizziness and sharp headache were slowly killing her. She forced herself up from the bed and let her hand cover her mouth to prevent herself from vomiting.
She closed her eyes, taking another deep breath, but as the scents there floated around in the air, turned into an disgusting aroma, made her give in to the urge to vomit and she immediately dragged herself up from the bed and ran to the bathroom, there luckily only were one door away from their shared bedroom.

As she finally entered the icy cold bathroom, she fell on her knees in front of the toilet and wrapped her arms around the toilet and let it all out. She spit out her saliva there had the strong taste of vomit.
She holds her head as she felt her headache started getting worse and her vision slowly began to get blurry.
She grabbed onto the toilet and pulled herself up from the floor and forced her legs to move her towards the sink, where she turned on the icy water and splashed it up on her face, feeling the fresh liquid cooling down her hot, sweaty face, had made her finally feeling relaxed.

Feeling better, she flushed the toilet before she made her way back to the bedroom, where she saw Sylvar slightly getting up and leaned up against the wall behind him. He rubbed his face and ran his hand through his long, thick hair. He eyed Y/n as she just entered, looking quite uncomfortable and unwell while she forced a smile upon her thin, pale lips.
"Good morning.." she greeted him as she went to sit beside him on her side of the bed, "Mhm.. good morning, love.." he spoke in an low, raspy voice.
Y/n knew that his male instincts spoke through his charming words and seductive tone in his husky voice. He crawled over to her and kissed the crook of her neck, letting his wet tongue lightly slide down her neck, sending shivers down her spine.
She silently shook her head and placed her hand upon his warm chest and slightly pushed him back away from her, "no, I'm not in the mood for your needy mood." She said as she got back up from the bed and grabbed her clothes to get dressed for the day. Sylvar were speechless as she never would act this weirdly and normally always gives in on his foreplay.
His eyes followed her as she made her way towards the door, "is something wrong, love?" He asked as he threw the blanket off him and he swung his legs over the edge of the bedside. She silently shooked her head, "no.. I'm fine." She said in an low, yet gentle voice as she turned to open the door and left the room without another word.

Sylvar stood left back in the room, unsure of what's happening, cuz she were acting quite unusual. He shrugged it off as he just thought that it might be because of those cramps that she gets every month whenever she bleeds.

Y/n stood by herself in the small kitchen, she were unable to feel motivated to anything, until suddenly the voice of her little son speaking, had now caught her attention and she looked down to her right, to see him standing there, while holding onto the teddy bear that had bought him happiness and been able to calm him down in every sorrowful moment, "mom, are you okay? You look pale.?" He tilted his head as he peeked up at her with his bright red eyes. She found him cute and charming, just like his father, whom had become more manly and handsome.
She forced a smile on her lips as she shook her head and spoke, "I'm fine, honey.." she chuckled while she ruffled his black hair. He hummed while he nods and looked back down at the small teddy bear in his embrace.
Suddenly the sound of heavy footsteps echoed down the squeaking stairs, the two of them looked over to see Sylvar walking down the stairs.
"Good morning dad." Lolas spoke quietly as he looked over at his father whom slowly approached them. He smiled and nods, "morning son." He simply answered as he made his way over towards Y/n and gently wrapped his arms around her.
His usual good and seductive scent of oak and a mixture of all the different kinds of smells of the forest, had suddenly turned into an disgusting scent of an swamp. She broke free from his hug and covered her mouth with her hand once again, leaving the two of them back down in the kitchen as she ran upstairs to embrace the toilet once again.

Both Sylvar and Lolas were confused by her odd behavior and weird reactions. Lolas looked up at Sylvar and asked, "dad what's wrong with mom?" Sylvar looked down at him and shrugged his shoulders, "I assume that she doesn't feel well.. it's probably because of the weather, it's getting colder and she is very sensitive to the weather change." Lolas nods as he too stayed in the same statement as his father.

For the rest of the day, Y/n haven't really spoke to Sylvar, she kept her distance from him as his scent made her dizzy and gets the urge to vomit constantly.
She were sitting on the bed this late in the afternoon and just looked out of the small window. The snow were slowly falling from the sky, landing softly on the ground. She closed her eyes as she slightly opened the window to let some fresh air in.
The sky began to turn dark earlier than normal as the winter were still long. The stars shone brightly on the cloud free sky. A smile appeared upon her lips as she were thinking of her parents and Taran who too died horribly.
The dark sky reminds her of the night where she first got to meet Sylvar by the bridge, the same night where her boyfriend got killed by the Drow that she is living with now and loves so badly.

The full moon finally showed its presence. She looked up at the moon there shone like an bright lantern, being the only source of light. A small glint shone in her eyes as she faced the big round moon. For some weird reason, she let her hand slide up to her flat stomach, feeling the warmth from her hand on the same spot on her stomach.

She holds her breath as she finally realized what had happened..
A faint gasp slipped through her mouth as she looked back down at her stomach and felt her hot, salty tears slowly began to roll down her cheeks.
A soft smile appeared upon her lips as she gently rubbed her thumb against her stomach and spoke, "welcome, my little moon."
