The full moon stood high above the ground, there nothing but an dark, cold silence there dropped onto the whole country. The forest were as dead as the graves, only the faint sound of the crickets playing were to be heard echoing underneath the tall grass.
The dim light there faintly shone from the lanterns outside the small hut, beneath the roof of the veranda were the only source for light. Sylvar were laying upon the roof, resting his head against his palms as he looked up at the bright moon in front of him. A deep sigh slightly escaped his mouth, his loneliness would always remain, even though the presence of Y/n wandering around in the hut were enjoyable.
Suddenly the voice of the woman he had been thinking about appeared behind him, "you have seemed pretty off today, what's the matter?" She asked so innocently as she went over to sit down beside him. He only sighed in response to her question.
"Sylvar, I know there is something wrong.. why won't you tell me?" She asked once again. He silently closed his eyes before he turned his head aside to look at her. He simply shook his head before he spoke, "nothing in particular." He looked back up at the moon above him.Y/n sighed as she knew how stubborn he were. An new idea popped up in her mind, as she moved a tiny bit closer towards him and slowly laid down on the hard rooftop, with both her hands folded over her chest. A faint smile appeared upon her lips as she looked over at Sylvar, who peeked over at her.
He lets out a soft sigh, before he finally spoke, "there is not really anything that bothers me, it's just.. I keep thinking back on my past and whenever I do so, I begins to feel helpless, melancholic and lonely." He spoke in an voice barely above an whisper.
Y/n raised an eyebrow as she looked confused at him and tilted her head aside, "w-what do you mean?" Curious and confused, she asked him.
Sylvar were hesitant in his words, he were in conflict with himself, whether or not to tell her anything. He took another deep breath and finally spoke, "I'm constantly thinking back on my childhood, all those times where I was left alone, I was being hold back as the outcast and I were never able to fit in.. "
"But, why though?" She asked, seeing his sad expression on his face as he paused. He simply shrugged his shoulders and slightly opened his mouth to speak, "I was never like all the other elf children.. I was born with red eyes, which made everyone think that I was cursed by the evil spirits of the forest. My only protector were my mother, she loved me so dearly, but her love and care for me, ended her life so tragically." He slide back up and wrapped his arms around his legs.Y/n watched his every move, feeling an more intense and insecure feeling of helplessness and nervousness fall over him as he spoke.
"Even though you were born with red eyes, that never made you appear as an enemy for them.." she said so gently as she sat up as well. A deep sigh escaped his mouth as he nods, "it did.. I became their enemy and I were never one to be loved. After my mother got killed, I was abandoned from my village and were thrown out into the dark mist of the forest."
"But, what about your father?" She looked back over at him, finally being able to make eye contact with him. He gulped hard as he answered, "my father.. he was one of those to lead an rebellion. He were the one to burn my mother alive, because she protested against them and tried hard to convince them about the true me.. but no one would believe any of her begging."
Y/n began to feel a sting in her heart as he explained all those tragedies that had happened in his past. He were never the one to be loved, only his mother were to show him the love and protect him from the other elves, but he were yet all
alone.
"I'm so sorry to hear all that." She spoke simply, yet with care and sadness in her voice as she were able to feel the same pain. She were lost as well, the difference were that her parents loved her so dearly, along with her sister, but now, she were all alone..He let out the air in his lungs and looked back up at the full moon, there shone so softly down at him. Y/n were admiring his porcelain pale skin and all his mature, yet beautiful creature.
He silently shook his head, "you shouldn't feel any sadness for someone like me.. I've committed much more cruel crimes, that deserves an punishment that not even I would be able to survive." He said so calmly without making any eye contact with her.
Y/n sighed as she clearly remembers that night where her and Simon were lost in the dark forest, where their car broke down and they were unable to get any signal to the world outside of the forest.
"You may have committed many crimes through your life, but I'm also aware that there is a reason behind it all." He looked down at her, getting eye contact with her once again. The tension fell heavy and intense as the two of them were completely lost in each other's gaze. Y/n doesn't know why she no longer feel any anger or rage whenever she look at him, it is like his hypnotizing had finally gotten the best of her and she lets go of all her tears there had been shedded for so long, every night where she begged for help and mercy.
She gently placed her hand above his, making him feel shivers running through his body in an electrical shock, his heart skipped a beat by her sudden approaching.
Y/n slowly slide closer towards him, until she were only a few inches away from him. His blood red eyes were completely lost in her bright shining eyes there never lets go of him. He slightly let her hand take his and he clenched softly around her small hand.
Unable to take any control anymore, he gently placed his hand upon her soft, crimson red cheek and slowly leaned closer, until their noses lightly touched. Y/n holds her breath as she were able to feel the hot air there escaped his mouth. She felt an whole Jumanji in her chest, as she closed her eyes as she leaned closer, until their lips softly connected into a gentle kiss.
An new feeling grew inside her stomach, even though she had been with Simon a numerous times, this just felt different.
She felt dizzy as she melted into his sweet lips there moved in sync with hers. He wrapped his muscular arm around her tiny waist and pulled her closer, leaving no space between them. With the lack of air, they parted and looked at each other. Y/n let her hand slowly raise and rested it on his hot, pale cheek. She leaned closer to him once again, resting her forehead against his and spoke in an low, gentle voice, "you have no longer to feel any fear or loneliness, I'm here with you now, Sylvar."
