"OH, COME ON!", Javy exclaimed frustratedly as Jake sent yet another coloured ball in a pocket.
The two were at the Hard Deck playing nine-ball by the pool table after they had been called a couple of days earlier to go back to Top Gun. They had both gone to the Naval base in Connecticut two years earlier where they met each other again and now they were both really excited to be back.
Suddenly looking up Jake spotted two familiar faces and a smirk appeared on his face.
"What do we have here?", he said his voice high as the two reached them, followed by two other guys. "If it ain't Storm and Phoenix!"
From the counter of the bar a brunette man raised his head when he heard that and watched from afar as the two followed by other two men went to the pool table. Maverick looked at his son, Logan, with a sad look. He hadn't seen him in sixteen years. No matter how many times he had tried to reach out to him and to his daughter too, he had never been able to see them again.
When he was called back he didn't expect to be asked to be a teacher. He didn't really know how to do that. But when they showed him who was on that list and saw Bradley, Logan and Emily, he felt his heart drop. This was going to be hard.
Logan was standing beside Natasha as they reached Jake and Javy. The two had been together for six years now and were really in love, Emily had already been teasing them calling once in a while asking when their wedding would happen.
"And here I thought we were special, Coyote", Jake sarcastically told him as they went to stand before them. "Turns out the invite went to anyone."
