Sonya screamed. Nettie, Newt and Sonya's mom yelped and they scrambled over to Newt's bed. Sam Isaac also gasped and hurried over.

Minho felt a stab of jealousy, and longing. He wished Emily would wake up; he missed her big soft brown eyes and her smile. But he swallowed down his emotions and grinned at his friend from across the bed.

Newt's parents sat on each side as Sonya carefully hugged her brother and cried. Minho turned back to Emily and let Newt have his time with his family. Minho's parents and Jorge came over. Bear was cautiously sniffing Emily's bed.

"Bear, come here boy." Minho called quietly. Bear came and hopped up onto the chair beside Emily's bed. Placed his front paws on the bed beside Emily and he whinned, placing his head down between his paws.

"Ya boy, that's how I feel too." Minho said quietly, scratching his head and ears.

"Thank you." Jorge said quietly, as he clapped Minho on the shoulder.

Minho shrugged. Emily's limp hand held in his, he looked down at it and brushed his thump over the back of her hand, careful of her IV.

"I don't know how long she was alone with Emily. I don't know if she already did something..."

"The nurse took some blood and we'll get a toxoligy report in a few minutes." His dad reasured them, but he even looked nervous. "And your grandpa is now ripping into all the employees here... Emily will now have someone, one of us with her at all times." He went on.

"Ya. I'm not leaving until I know she's awake."

"Minho-"

"No, mom. Not after that. I've talked to my teachers, Miss Mary explained to the other teachers. She's gathering my and Sonya's homework, Thomas is bringing it tonight. End of discussion."

It was his dad's turn to place a hand on mom's arm and shake his head. Mom sighed and relented.

Grandpa walked into the room with the Doctor. He had a clip board in his hand. They stopped beside the bed, and the group.

"Good news, there is nothing foreign in her body, nothing suspicious, nothing is too high or too low to make it look like an accident, nothing is off in any way. I ran the tests myself, and I double and triple checked. It matches her blood work from this morning and yesterday."

Minho physically deflated. He felt the sharp claws around his chest release their hold.

"Oh thank shuck!"

"I will also be moving both My Yiobo and Newt to a more secure room and in a different ward. We will be moving as soon as the room has been prepped." Grandpa said. "Cops and guards that have been recommended by Steve and I have screened will be outside the room."

"Thank you." Jorge sighed, shaking his hand.

"Jorge, you and Emily are part of my family. And my family gets the best care the country has to offer." Grandpa said, waving a hand.

"Is there something else?" Mom asked, looking at the doctor.

"Yes, one more thing. I have been in communication with the research department, there is an experimental treatment that has great results. It's fairly new, but we have been using it here."

"Okay, what is it...please just explain it, Doctor. It's been a long day." Mom sighed, she was always a bit more snappy when she was tired and stressed. Minho seemed to be the same way.

"It's a cell regeneration injection. It speeds up heeling, acceleration regrowth and boosts immunity, which aids in the body not rejecting the synthetic lung we used for Miss Fitz."
