Harder & Harder

Paul and Derek leave the secret room, then the sound of footsteps occur. "Quick, hide!" Said Paul. The boys find the nearest hiding place as Sugar Pink walks down the hall. "Hmm, I could've sworn I heard other voices. Maybe I'm just hearing things." She said before walking off.

After the coast was clear, Derek pokes his head out of his hiding place just to be sure it was really safe. When the answer was yes, he emerges with Paul following behind. "That was a close one." Said Derek. "Too close." Paul said. "Alright, let's read the antidote list outside before someone else sees us." Derek said.

Luckily there wasn't anyone else around, so the two manage to get out of the castle unseen. They look at the list of ingredients needed for the antidote to save their wives.

"There are ten ingredients needed to make the antidote." Said Paul. "You gotta be kidding me!" Said Derek as he facepalmed himself. "It's no joke." Paul said. "How are we gonna find ten ingredients in four hours? That doesn't give us enough time!" Derek said. "Believe me, Derek, I'm just as worried about the girls as you are. And quite frankly, it kinda seems hopeless at this rate." Said Paul. "Never thought I'd say this but... you're absolutely right." Said Derek.

Feeling like giving up, the boys express their sadness and hopelessness through song as they wish for the month to end.

Paul: Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Derek: Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Paul: Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Derek: Wake me up when September ends

Paul: Wake me up when September ends

After the boys finished singing, Paul checks his watch. "I don't know what time exactly the girls started weakening from the acid, but I feel like now we have less than four hours to save them." He said. "If that's the case, then we better move. Lucky for us, I have a plan that'll help get those ingredients." Derek said.
