As they said their goodbyes, Aina noticed that kevin and Ahaan were walking in the same direction as her.
"Hey, do you guys need a ride?" she asked, trying to sound casual. Ahaan shook his head,
"Nah, we're good. We're just going to grab some food from that new place down the street." Kevin added, "Yeah, we're starving after all that dancing."
Aina laughed, "Okay, well, enjoy your food then." She watched as they walked ahead of her, feeling a pang of... something.
She wasn't quite sure what it was, but it made her feel a little left out.
Aina smiled as she settled into the passenger seat beside her mom, who was sitting comfortably in the backseat of their car.
The driver, familiar to them from many family outings, greeted them warmly and began the journey home from the wedding reception.
"I'm so glad we came," her mom said, smiling at Aina. "It was such a beautiful wedding,
and we got to catch up with so many people." Aina nodded in agreement, "Definitely. I'm just glad it's over, though.
All that dancing wore me out!" Her mom chuckled, "You were a great dancer, sweetie.
I was proud of you." Aina rolled her eyes good-naturedly, "Mom..." As they drove,
they chatted about the wedding, the guests, and the happy couple, enjoying each other's company.
As they approached their house, Aina's mom asked, "So, what did you think of the bride's dress?
I thought it was stunning." Aina nodded, "Yeah, it was beautiful. I loved the lace details."
The driver, who had been quietly listening to their conversation, spoke up, "Yes, ma'am,
it was a lovely wedding. I've driven for many weddings, but this one was particularly special."
Aina's mom smiled, "I'm glad we got to experience it. And I'm glad we're home safe and sound."
The driver pulled up to the house and opened the door for them, and Aina and her mom stepped out into the warm night air,
feeling grateful for the lovely evening they'd just shared.
As they entered the house, Aina's mom suggested, "Let's get changed into something comfortable and then head to bed.
It's been a long day." Aina nodded in agreement, already thinking about slipping into her cozy pajamas.
They went their separate ways to change, Aina heading to her room and her mom to hers.
Aina quickly changed into her favorite soft t-shirt and leggings, feeling the weariness of the day melt away.
She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and climbed into bed, snuggling under the blankets.
Her mom poked her head into the room, "Goodnight, sweetie. Sleep tight."
Aina smiled, "Goodnight, Mom. Love you." With a happy sigh, Aina closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep,
the memories of the wedding reception fading into a peaceful slumber.
The next morning, Aina woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. She stretched her arms and yawned,
feeling the softness of her bed and the warmth of the sunlight streaming through her window.
She thought about the wedding reception the night before and smiled, remembering the happy moments
she had shared with her mom and the other guests. After a few minutes of lounging in bed,
Aina threw off the covers and got up, ready to start the day. She headed towards the washroom brushed her teeth took a cold shower
and weared her bathrub and she padded over to her closet to choose an outfit for the day,
thinking about what she wanted to do. Her mom had mentioned something about brunch,
and Aina's stomach growled in anticipation. She was looking forward to a relaxing day at home with her mom.
Aina headed downstairs to the kitchen, where her mom was already busy making pancakes and scrambled eggs.
The delicious smells filled the air, and Aina's stomach growled in anticipation.
"Good morning, sweetie!" her mom said, giving her a warm smile. "I made your favorite breakfast."
Aina smiled back, "Thanks, Mom. It smells amazing." She poured herself a glass of orange juice and sat down at the table,
feeling grateful for this quiet morning with her mom. As they ate, they chatted about their plans for the day.
Aina's mom mentioned a few errands she needed to run, and Aina offered to come along.
After breakfast, they cleared the table and headed out to tackle the day's tasks, enjoying each other's company.
As they finished up their errands, Aina's mom suggested, "Why don't we grab some coffee and take a walk in the park?
It's such a beautiful day out." Aina agreed, and they headed to a nearby café to grab a coffee and then strolled through the park,
enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. They walked side by side, chatting about everything and nothing,
savoring the quality time together. Aina's mom pointed out the blooming flowers and the birds singing in the trees, and Aina smiled,
feeling carefree and happy. As they walked, Aina felt grateful for this special bond she shared with her mom.
She loved these quiet moments they spent together, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
After their walk, they headed back home, feeling relaxed and content....
