Humans are such complex beings. Often, they don't seek revenge for every small slight-what they really want is just to give the other party a minor lesson or a small punishment. They need an outlet to express the unfair treatment they've endured.

Even a small release can bring them some comfort. But without a chance to vent their frustrations, the pain and hurt inside them can fester, eventually turning into deep-seated hatred and a desire for vengeance.

But when the soul is denied the outlet to voice its sorrows and frustrations, the wounds that lie buried within fester and decay, evolving into a deep-seated hatred and a thirst for vengeance that consumes everything in its path.

Vienna remained engrossed in her class, her attention fixed on the teacher's words as the minutes ticked by. Across the street, Ni-ki waited patiently under the shade of a large tree, his gaze occasionally drifting towards the school gates.

The alarm on his mobile phone rang out at 4:30 PM, a reminder of his commitment to fetch Vienna.

The school compound was unusually quiet, an eerie calm enveloping the area. The buildings stood like solemn tombstones, casting long shadows in the late afternoon light. Inside, the classrooms were alive with the murmurs of students, their focus unwavering despite the silence that permeated the exterior.

Ni-ki glanced at his watch, noting the time. He leaned back against the tree, lost in thought, waiting for the signal that it was time to meet her.

That group of thugs hadn't known that he always brought a knife around with him, that at the very next second, he was about to stab the knife into their hearts, that he would force them to perish together with him.

But the very next moment, she appeared. For him, she was going to report the thugs to the police. She even kissed him.

The wonder and novelty of life lies in the very fact that, you never know what is going to happen in the very next moment.

Just as Ni-ki never could have anticipated seeing Vienna standing before him the moment he lifted the shutter doors-her body bathed in the soft, golden glow of the setting sun, a bloodied knife clutched in her trembling hand-her voice breaking through the stillness with a desperate plea:
