[Sailor song] - [Gigi perez]On the 8th of June, just past noon, the area outside the school grounds was a sea of parents, each waiting with a mix of anticipation and anxiety for their children to finish their graduation exams.
Amidst the throng, Shotaro found himself blending into the crowd. Observing the tense faces of the parents around him, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of amusement.
The bell's clang, signaling the end of the exams, cut through the murmur of nervous chatter. Students surged out of the school like a torrent, their excitement palpable.
Shotaro watched with mild surprise. In the past, when he came to collect Vienna, it was often late in the evening, and the school grounds would be deserted. Today, however, the scene was a whirlwind of youthful energy and bustling activity.
As Shotaro scanned the bustling crowd of students and parents, his vision grew hazy. Amidst the chaos, he spotted Jungwon, who had been lingering outside the school grounds while others waited for their children.
Jungwon hadn't taken part in the Science exam and had spent the afternoon casually strolling around.
His eyes narrowed with a mix of irritation and weariness as he approached Shotaro. "Please don't tell me you're here to question her about the raincoat man case again."
"No, not at all. What's with that look? It seems like my presence here is causing quite a stir."
"Every time you show up, it seems like there's bad news to follow."
"Well, today is different," Shotaro said with a friendly grin. "I'm here to take Vienna out for a meal. No bad news, I promise."
Recalling the questions he intended to ask Jungwon later, Shotaro realized this was the perfect moment to address them. "Jungwon," he began.
"Yes?" Jungwon replied, glancing up with a touch of curiosity.
"You mentioned you've walked Vienna home twice?"
"That's right,"
"Do you see yourself as particularly observant or aware of your surroundings?"
Jungwon chuckled, shaking his head. "Not really. I'm more often lost in my own world and oblivious to everything around me."
Shotaro leaned in slightly, intrigued. "If that's the case, how did you notice the person who was stalking Vienna? You only accompanied her twice."
