Kara flew far off into the sky and followed wherever the crystal was leading her. As she made her way into the middle of the artic, she kept on following its light before it suddenly dimmed in the middle of nowhere.

"What?" Kara cried and smacked the crystal. "Why did you bring me out here?"

Sighing, feeling she's chasing ghosts, Kara dropped the crystal and walked away. But as soon as the crystal hit the ground, it absorbed itself into the ground.

Kara turned back around just to witness it going into the ground. She watched it happen and wondered why it was doing that when cracks formed in the ice.

Kara had the good thought in mind to run away, as an explosion erupted from where the crystal once stood. She ran and was about to take off when the explosion reached her and buried her in the snow.

Peter groaned as he started to wake up from the worst night of his life. His entire body felt sore for no particular reason as he got out of bed and saw a note from his mom laying on his stand.

"Flight leaves in an hour. Get to school, May will pick you up afterward.
Be good! Love you!
=)"

Peter groaned as he climbed out of bed and got to his pants and pulled them up, only to show that they were now small on him.

"What?" Peter asked as he looked down and almost had to double-check to make sure it was indeed his. As if there were anyone else's clothes he would have in his room. "That's weird." He then saw there was nothing he could do about this sudden growth and knew he had a few clothes that were bigger on him before yesterday.

Putting those on, he made his way outside and made his way to school. But on his way there, his head started to buzz, right before the paperboy came past riding on his bike and Peter was able to jump out of the way quick enough.

When Peter was getting back up, his hand then suddenly stuck to the brick fence in front of one of the neighboring houses. Becoming very confused as to what or how this is happening, Peter tried to pull his hands free off of the wall, but they seemed determined to stay there.

"What the heck?" Peter muttered to himself, pulling his hand as hard as he could, only for a chunk of the brick to be ripped off with Peter's fingers and stay there.

Peter looked down at his hand and wondered how this might have happened. This shouldn't be possible. Even at his strongest, that brick should have ripped his arm out rather than him ripping the brick. He was barely able to do the rope in gym class, how was he able to do this?

That's when the pieces of brick suddenly started to slowly slip off his fingertips and cause him to look and see tiny hairs sticking out from the skin.

Something was seriously off.

Kara finally was able to break free of the snow and looked up to see a faint cave, almost like a fortress, had been formed from the crystal.

"Whoa," Kara said as she walked up to the entrance and made her way inside to see the crystal floating on a stand made of ice.

She picked it up and noticed a small part of the ice carved out to fit it. She placed it in and wondered what it did.

"Kara." A familiar voice said, causing Kara to spin as fast as she could to see none other than her mother standing before her. "It's so good to see you."

"I...I don't understand." Kara said as she walked over to her mother. "How are you here?"

"I am an interactive artificial intelligence program, culled from the living memory of Alura Zor-El." Alura did her best to explain it to her.
