AFTER that day, Lucas didn't check me anymore. He is always busy and he didn't sleep beside me. I felt guilty on what I did, because he really cares about me, and misinterpreted that.
Bumaba na ko pagkatapos kong mag ayos, may pasok kasi ako sa school. Gusto ko sana ay sa public school lang ako mag aaral but Lucas insisted that I enrolled to a private school. He enrolled me to the school that he graduated, he has a shared in that school so that he can monitor me every time.
"Good morning Nanay Linda" bati ko sa mayordoma ng bahay.
"Magandang umaga din sayo Bella" bati niya sakin. Naupo na ko at naghintay ng pagkain na nilalapag nila isa isa.
"Si Sir Lucas po?" Tanong ko.
Ilang araw na din na hindi ko na siya nakakasama kumain. Siguro galit pa din sa ginawa ko noong nakaraang gabi.
"Ah umalis ng maaga, nagkape lang ang batang iyon, teka hija may tanong ako sayo?"si nanay Linda.
"Ano po yun?" tanong ko. Sabay sumubo ng pagkain
"Ilang taon kana sa pangangalaga ni Lucas pero bakit sir ang tawag mo kay Lucas e diba siya yung nag ampon sayo. Ibig sabihin ay anak ka na niya?" mahaba niyang tanong.
Chismosa din si Nanay Linda eh. Matagal na si nanay dito, dati siyang tagapag alaga ni Lucas. Simula ng bata pa si Lucas ay si Nanay Linda na daw ang nagpalaki at nag alaga kay Lucas kaya medyo sanay na din si nanay sa ugali ng amo niya.
"Hindi ko naman po kasi siya totoong tatay, he just adopted me. And Sir Lucas didn't change my surname po, so I am not totally a D'lore" sagot ko.
"Ganoon ba? Hayaan mo mabait naman yan si Lucas pero minsan masungit talaga yan. Medyo mailap sa mga tao, at seryoso lagi sa buhay" sabi niya.
Hindi na ko nagsalita at tinapos na ang aking pagkain at baka malate pa ko sa klase. Nagpahatid na lang ako kay Kuya Fred kasi most of the time ay si Lucas ang naghahatid at nagsusundo sakin pero wala siya.
"Oh bakit di na naghahatid sayo si Daddy mo kuno?" nagtatakang tanong ni Sophia bestfriend ko.
"Hindi ko siya tatay Sophia. He just adopted me I am still Isabella Mendoza" I said. Naglalakad kami sa pathway ng school at pupunta na sa first subject namin.
"Maybe he doesn't want you to become his daughter. Then why did he adopted you in the first place?" kunot noo niyang tanong.
"Why don't you ask him Sophia" I rolled my eyes.
"You are so flawless Bella" she just smiled.
I need too. Even Lucas said he cares about me and not my body. I still need to be careful not to get scars in this body.
Pagkatapos ng klase ko ay lumabas na ko at tiningnan kong sino ang sundo ko. Nadismaya ako ng si Kuya Fred pa din ang nakita ko. Dumeretso na ko na bagsak ang balikat at sumakay na sa sasakyan, I cannot take this anymore I need to see him.
"Uhm Kuya. Can you drive me to Sir Lucas office? But can we order food first Kuya?" I ask to Kuya Fred.
"Okay Miss Bella" he replied.
Pagkarating sa company ni Lucas ay lumabas na ko sa kotse, dala dala ang food kong inorder sa isang italian restaurant because Lucas loved italian cuisine especially pasta.
Dumeretso na ako sa loob ng company, the company is huge, there are many employees everywhere. Namangha ako sa desinyo ng kanilang Lobby parang isa itong five star Hotel. Lumapit ako sa receptionist para magtanong. Nagtataka pa sila kasi nakasuot ako ng uniform.
"Hi, Can I talk to Mr. Lucas D'lore?" I asked the receptionist.
She just rolled her eyes at me "Do you have any appointment to Mr. D'lore?" She asked.
"I don't have, but you can call him. My name is Bella" I said.
"I cannot confirm that, you need to have an appointment before you meet him. Mr. D'lore don't have time for school girl admirer" tiningnan niya pa ko mula ulo hanggang paa.
Napalunok ako at naging mahigpit ang hawak ko sa paper bag na dala ko.
"U-uhm, You can call his secretary he knows me" I said.
Even though Lucas adopted me, he didn't introduce me to the public, that is for my safety since Lucas is a business tycoon.
"We cannot do that his secreta-" naputol ang kanyang sasabihin.
"Loraine can you check this" may inabot ang lalaki sa receptionist. Bumaling ang tingin niya sa akin, nabuhayan naman ako ng si Adam ang aking nakita siya ang secretary ni Lucas.
"Why are you here Miss Bella?" I saw surprised in the face of receptionist. Binaling ko ang tingin ko kay Adam.
"I am here to visit Sir Lucas" i said.
"Do you know her sir?" the receptionist ask to Adam.
"You are really screwed Loraine. You don't know Miss Bella?" Adam said to Sheila who have now paled face. She just shook her head "She is under Mr. D'lore custody"
I saw shocked face of Sheila who's now bowing his head towards me "S-sorry miss I didn't know" she apologized. I just smiled.
Bumaling Si Adam sakin "You can follow me Miss Bella" Adam lead my way up to the office of CEO. Lucas office is located to the upper floor of this building.
"Mr. D'lore is having a meeting right now Miss" Adam open the door for me.
Nilibot ko ang paningin sa kabuong desinyo ng office ni Lucas. His office is very clean, you can saw two colors only. Black and grey color what a boring man. Ito din ang kulay ng kanyang kwarto walang ka buhay buhay. Malaki ang office niya may sofa siya sa gitna, tv at nakalagay sa gilid ang kanyang mga awards na natanggap. I must say he really is a successful businessman because of many awards that is displayed on the rack cabinet.
"You can wait Mr. D'lore here, Do you want something? Juice or snack?" Adam interrupted.
"No. Thank you Adam" at nginitian ko siya nilapag ko na ang paper bag kong dala sa lamesa na nasa living room.
"If you need anything, I will be on my table" he said and closed the door.
Tumango lang ako, this is my first time visiting Lucas office, kasi most of the time school at bahay lang ako, kaya nilibot ko ang kanyang office pumunta ako sa kanyang mga awards na nakahilira malapit sa tv. Dumaan ako sa glass wall niya. From his office I can see the full view of Manila, I saw how busy Manila is. When I got tired staring at the glass wall, pumunta ako sa working table niya. I touched his name plate, MR. LUCAS FLYNN D'LORE (CEO) that is written. His table is well organized and clean.
Naputol ang aking pag uusisa sa lamesa niya nang bumukas ang pinto. At pumasok si Lucas hawak niya ang kanyang phone na nakalagay sa tenga niya.
"Yeah, you need to-" naputol ang sinasabi niya ng makita niya ko. Shocked was all over his face but it changed right away "I will call you later" he said to his caller and ended the call.
He closed the door and seat on his swivel chair.
I remained silent because I am afraid on his stares.
