Chapter 9: Investigation

Mikha's POV

"Welcome back my beautiful secretary." I gave Aiah five days off since na discharge si tita para masamahan niya siya and bukas pa sana siya papasok but she insisted to come today, kaya sobrang excited ko to see her. 'Di ko siya nakita for how many days as I gave her the chance to spend time with her family naman.

"I missed you baby." I pushed her against the wall and kissed her, hindi ko mapigilan yung gigil ko sa kanya.

"Hey, they might see us." she pushed me away and medyo nagulat ako, I mean oo may point naman siya. "I'm sorry. Come." I tried to take her to the restroom but she suddenly took off her hand away from my grip.

"Aiah, hey, what's wrong?" Obviously something's wrong. She was never like this.

"I saw some staffs on their way here. I'm just afraid they might see us." I doubt if that's really it.

Hindi na lang ako umimik and I just went back to my desk. When I reverted my focus on the computer, I saw that she stood in front of my desk. And when I finally looked at her, she placed a lunch box on top of the table.

"From mama, nagluto siya ng sinigang for you."

"That's good, I think she's really better now."Aiah was standing in front of me smiling, but I don't know, it doesn't really feel... right. Ilang araw kami hindi nagkasama, hindi niya ba ako namiss?

"Thank you, I'll eat it later." She now went to her desk and from time to time, 'di ko maiwasan to check on her. She was just focused on her computer and I'm really starting to worry. I don't think may nagawa naman ako.

I'm now thinking of a way like maybe ask her to go out tonight? Watch a movie? Do I invite her to my place ulit? Yeah, I guess that's good. I'll just invite her to my place tonight.

"Aiah, psst.." I called her from my desk with matching pa cute.

"Po?" Grr, anong po yan???

"Can I see y-" Hindi ko na natapos yung sinasabi ko as there were people knocking on the door, so Aiah stood and went.

"Marketing team po, ma'am."

"Do I have a meeting with them?" Hay nako, kabadtrip naman tong mga 'to. "Wala raw po ma'am."

"Then not now, tell them that I'm busy." Bigla akong nawala sa mood, pero nakonsensya ako kaya binawi ko rin agad. I promised Aiah na I'll be good to every one starting from now and as what she have said, they're starting to see a different 'me' and gusto ko ng ma-maintain yun.

"No, never mind it's okay, let them in." Aiah gave me her sweet smile and gave me a thumbs up. Hmmm, yan yung gusto kong Aiah eh. I know she's proud of me.

"Sooooo???? What's up guys? Ang aga ninyo." I tried to lighten up the mood kasi I feel na medyo tensed up sila. As I've said I'm really doing my best for them to not feel intimidated with me.

Kasi, Aiah was the only person who frankly told me na lahat daw talaga, as in no exception, nai-intimidate daw with me and honestly, it was very hard for me to accept. I don't want people to see me that way. Kaya Aiah really made me a better person especially at work. Ang dami kong narealize because of her.

"So you all went because of that? C'mon guys, don't pressure yourselves too much."

Grabe, was I that too hard with them last year? They reminded me na sobrang galit ko daw nung previous year kaya they are already presenting their proposals ahead of time for the upcoming Christmas season, and anong petsa pa lang ngayon.
