NARI

"What do you want, Nari honey?", Mrs Hwang asked as I looked up from my menu meeting with her brown eyes.

"I'll take taekbokki", I replied, she nodded and both her and Yeji placed their orders as well.

Mrs Hwang decided to take us out as a girls day out and me and Yeji of course agreed.

I also really want this since the drama that happened last week.

Me and Hyunjin never spoke since that day, but whenever we're around the others we pretend as if everything was normal, even though we never talked through it.

I inhaled the scent of the atmosphere as I took a deep breath, trying to ease my mind and forget about it.

"This is gonna be so much fun!", Yeji exclaimed excitedly, as Mrs Hwang and I smiled at her excited expression.

"Oh it is, just you wait and see.", Mrs Hwang said winking.

Mrs Hwang always treated me as her own daughter, which I didn't mind since my own mother was busy in Paris with her boyfriend.

Although, don't get me wrong, I love my mother with my whole heart, but I still enjoy Mrs Hwang's company and her love for me a lot too.

As we all finished eating, Mrs Hwang stood up and clapped her hands excitedly.

"Well come on girls, we don't wanna waste our time you know.", she exclaimed like a highschool girl

"Okay mama, I'm starting to think you're the daughter and I'm the mom", Yeji replied chuckling, as I laughed too.

We all got up from our seats, our laughter still lingering in the air.

Mrs. Hwang led the way, her energy infectious as we walked out of the restaurant and onto the bustling street.
The late afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the city, and the promise of an enjoyable day ahead was palpable.

"Where are we headed next?" I asked, glancing at Mrs. Hwang.

"Oh, I thought we'd visit that new art exhibit downtown," she said with a twinkle in her eye. "I heard it's fantastic, and I thought it would be something different and fun."

Right, now I remembered who Hyunjin got his art love and affection from.

Yeji's eyes lit up. "That sounds amazing! I've been dying to see it."

As we made our way to the gallery, the conversation flowed easily, with Mrs. Hwang and Yeji sharing anecdotes and stories. I found myself smiling, the earlier tension from the drama with Hyunjin fading as I immersed myself in their enthusiasm.

When we arrived at the gallery, the space was filled with modern art installations and vibrant displays. Mrs. Hwang's excitement was evident as she eagerly pointed out different pieces, explaining their significance with a touch of dramatic flair.

"Look at this one," she said, guiding us to a colorful abstract piece. "Isn't it just incredible? The way the colors seem to dance, it's almost like it's alive!"

Yeji and I nodded in agreement, both of us captivated by the exhibit. For a while, I lost myself in the artwork, the worries of the past week slipping away as I focused on the creativity around me.
