A/N The above image is the drawing that I created of what Kate looks like.

Kate is the first born princess of the realm Everlast, and will therefore be taking over for her father as ruler of her realm when she is of age-30-she is only 21 right now so just nine more years to go. Kate is very excited to become ruler of her realm and is eagerly awaiting the day she turns 30. She is currently learning everything she can about ruling a realm; though she often thinks she knows all that she could ever possibly need to know about what it takes to rule the realm.

Kate has a younger brother named Cane who is 19-almost 20. Cane's and Kate's mother passed away when they were very young from a terrible sickness that was brought on by some unusual cold weather to their fiery realm. Most people of Everlast blame the people of Neverlast for the late queen's death, but nothing was ever proven.

About five years after Kate's mother died her father remarried to a kind noble woman from the realm Forestaria. Kate and Cane then gained a second mom and a step sister named Rosiland; a wild and chaotic 16 year old girl who Kate can hardly stand being around.

Kate's hobbies include things like practicing her magic, learning and mastering different fighting techniques, and avoiding Rosiland. Currently avoiding Rosiland is what Kate is trying to do. Kate had just finished her magic lessons and was heading to the training yard wanting to get some extra training in before her day starts to get busier than it already was. When she walked right into one of her lovely step sister's prank and ended up being doused in icy cold water. Instead of biting Rosiland's head off and chewing her out Kate thought it better for her to just leave Rosiland's laughing form and go somewhere more private to practice.

Kate headed to the stables and after mounting her horse she was off to a place that only she and one other know of. It was on this ride when she encountered something bright and cold that suddenly appeared in the middle of the path ahead of her. Whatever the thing is, it managed to spook her horse at first, but she was able to calm the horse down quite easily. Kate dismounted off her horse so that she could approach whatever it was that appeared on the path, and was surprised to find a letter that appeared to be addressed to her enveloped in the icy cold flames of the FireFrost-a fire so cold that if you were to touch its flames you would get frostbite. The flames died out and she was then able to pick up the letter to read it.

Dear Princess Kate of Everlast

You have been called to be a part of a team that very well may one day help to bring a change to the Realms and to the lives of those who live in it. I can not tell you who I am, nor can I tell you of the mission this team will be tasked with completing. But what I can tell you is that you are chosen by the fates to be on this team, and the fate of all the Realms could very well depend on this team. I understand that you might not wish to come but if you do in this letter there is a map that leads to a door. Please go to this door in three days' time; there will be someone waiting for you. Also in this letter there is another letter one that you may give to your family to explain why you would be away. It is a letter of acceptance to a prestigious magic school that few are ever accepted into.

Kate got back on her horse and continued on her way to her intended destination the entire time thinking about the strange letter. When she finally got to her destination she dismounted off her horse and let the stallion roam around the clearing and surrounding woods. Kate was trying to practice a new fighting technique that she had recently started to learn. Even though what she really needed to be practicing was her magic. However she could not take her mind off the strange letter, so Kate decided to take a break for the time being.

She was just about to sit down when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist. She quickly turned around ready to punch someone in the face, but instantly relaxed when she saw who it was-her boyfriend Jack. After greeting one another Jack and Kate shared how their weeks had gone. Kate debated in her head on whether or not to share the letter with Jack, but ultimately decided that she would share it with him because she trusts him.

Kate and Jack formally met four years ago at a peace conference between Everlast and Neverlast where it was decided that her and Jack would marry to help bring peace to the two realms that were once one united realm. Kate was less than enthusiastic to say the least; to Kate the people of Never last are still the people who killed her mom even if anything was proven. However once Kate gave Jack a chance she found that she really liked him; she realized that they had a lot of things in common, and she soon realized that she was starting to fall for Jack, Prince of Neverlast.

Eventually Jack had to leave before he was missed at his home, he was able to sneak away for a bit but did not want to push his luck. He was just glad to be able to see Kate that day. After Jack left Kate decided that she too should probably get going before she is missed, so she called her horse over and they were soon heading back to the palace.

Not long after returning, Kate went to speak to her father about the letter. Though her father was a bit surprised for his daughter to be telling him of an acceptance letter of such a prestigious magic school-without applying to the school-he decided that it would be good for her to go to the school. After all Rosiland just came to him and his wife with an acceptance letter from the same school, perhaps it could be a bonding experience for the both of them.
