A/N The above image is the drawing that I created of what Daliliah looks like.
Delilah lives in the Realm of Forestaria with her parents and her nineteen other siblings. They travel around the Realm a lot primarily due to her parents being well known merchants. There have been times when they traveled outside of the realm to trade\sell goods, but this was usually just handled by one or both of her parents while her siblings and her stayed home. Delilah's family had a permanent home in a booming town called Bark Wood; this is where they would stay whenever they weren't traveling. Her parents also primarily sold and traded their goods in this town, and even owned a store where they could do just that.
Other than her siblings Delilah doesn't have very many close friends. Her closest friend is a girl named Rosiland who she used to hang out with all the time when her and her family were in Bark Wood. However a couple of years ago Rosiland and her mother moved out of the Realm of Forestaria and to the Realm of Everlast when her mom got married to the King of Everlast. Even though they always write to one another and are even planning to visit one another sometime in the future-given that Rosiland doesn't get herself into too much trouble-Delilah misses her friend greatly.
The magic that Delilah comes from her realm gives her and anyone else born in Forestaria the ability to control plants and the magic she got when she was born gave her the ability to speak to animals. Delilah sometimes practices some of her magic when she is on a walk though she has never seen the point of getting any good at magic, but she likes to practice on occasion nevertheless. Though she does enjoy talking to some of the animals she meets; especially when she is traveling with her family. Delilah loves traveling, spending time with her siblings-most of the time, going to the market, and going on walks where she can have some time to herself.
Delilah is on one of her walks; currently trying to calm down after being bombarded by her six youngest siblings-the sixtuplets-all of whom were repeatedly demanding her attention asking her question after question. Eventually she was able to get the six of them to direct their attention to her twin, her older brother, and one of her younger siblings. Delilah lets her grandparents know that she's going on a walk-her parents are currently out of town- and now here she is on a walk.
Delilah hadn't walked very far down the forest trail when a bird suddenly swooped down in front of her and requested that she follow him. She debated in her head about whether or not to follow the bird for a few minutes before deciding to follow the bird; thinking what's the worst that can happen? The bird led Delilah off the trail and to a clearing by a small stream. On top of a stack of smooth rocks sat a letter addressed to her. Delilah eyed the letter suspiciously but eventually opened the letter up to read it.
Dear Delilah of Forestaria
You have been called to be a part of a team that very well may one day help to bring a change to the Realms and to the lives of those who live in it. I can not tell you who I am, nor can I tell you of the mission this team will be tasked with completing. But what I can tell you is that you are chosen by the fates to be on this team, and the fate of all the Realms could very well depend on this team. I understand that you might not wish to come but if you do in this letter there is a map that leads to a door. Please go to this door in three days' time; there will be someone waiting for you. Also in this letter there is another letter one that you may give to your family to explain why you would be away. It is a letter of acceptance to a prestigious magic school that few are ever accepted into.
Delilah stayed in the clearing for a bit longer thinking over the letter and if she should go. Even if she wanted to go she wasn't sure if anyone would believe that she of all people would be accepted into a prestigious magic school since she's not very good at her magic. After a while the sun started to set and Delilah decided to start heading home. When she got home her grandma noticed the letter in her hand and asked about it. Delilah told her grandma that it was an acceptance letter to a prestigious magic school but that she wasn't sure if she would go. Her grandma congratulated her and after talking about it for a little bit her grandma had convinced her to go.
