Third and Final Taste in American History

TW*: Sensitive topics

The 1920s and the 1930s was the era of mob boss and gangsters, with the prohibition in place, speakeasies and selling of illegal alcohol would rise in crime. Mob bosses would fight for power and territory, using gangsters to ensure that their territories were safe from rivals. The Stone siblings moved to New York and would start working for Al Capone in 1910 before his reign of power in the 1920s and 1930s. This is where they ran into Carlisle, well not really, they were standing on the corner of the street when they saw him walk by across the street. They gave each other a look saying they would keep an eye on him. The Stone siblings knew he used to run with the Volturi and didn’t know if he would still do favors for them. They managed to not run into him, again, or Edward for that matter when he went out on his own.(Edward wasn’t around long enough to hear about them. They left Alaska before they went to Forks.)They started going by Kai and Kat Stone when they started working for Al Capone, they started out as bartenders and messengers  but their enhanced instincts is what helped them move up in rank. Of course, Kat didn’t talk and they passed that off as being born without vocal cords. This was the time Kai was most protective of her even though he knew she could handle herself, some men were unpredictable and just couldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. They were well respected in Al Capone's crew, no one dared to mess with them but with Kat being a girl, men all around tried to win her heart. It was very hard to get her alone, as Kai was always by her side, never letting anyone near her. What did they do for Al Capone? Well sometimes they were his bodyguards, sometimes they robbed banks when they needed to, run 6 different speakeasies, sell and distribute illegal alcohol and weapons, took care of outside business when rivals messed with Al Capone and his territories. Whenever there was a problem too big for others to handle, they were called to fix it. They would work for Al Capone for a total of 15 years. However, five years into his reign of power into the 1920s, they decided that this life was more complicated than they thought, that and the fact that the Volturi wrote them a letter. It was late at night and all seemed quiet, a little breeze here and there, not a single sound. Then a car zooms by followed by 8 police cars. Who were they chasing? You guessed it, The Stone Hearted Siblings. They were in the middle of a business deal for Al Capone when the police came out of nowhere, the tradesman had set them up and had barely managed to get out of there. Kai was driving and turned onto a street with busy traffic, the police started firing at them. Kat then grabbed the tommy gun and hung out the window and began firing back at the police, hitting them causing the ones in the front to lose control and crash. The other police cars in the back couldn’t get past the crashed police cars, so the siblings escaped. They drove a few blocks away before deciding to abandon the car. They moved through the shadows until they got to the hideout. As they entered, other crew members began to look at them.
