When the Cullens arrived home after school, Jasper zoomed right past Esme and straight into his room to look for something. The rest of the Cullens finally entered the house all on edge and with frustrated looks on their faces. Esme worried, asked what was wrong.

“Is everything alright? What's wrong with Jasper? Did he do something?” Esme asked in concern

“No, Jasper didn’t do anything.” Alice spoke

“Two new vampires have moved to town and Jasper thinks he recognizes them.” Emmett spoke

“At least we think one of them is a vampire. We don’t really know about the other one.” Edward added

“What do you mean you don’t know about the other one?” Esme questioned

“Well we know one of them is a vampire because he doesn’t have a heartbeat and he picks at his food like we do when we’re at lunch.” Rosalie spoke up

“The girl, she has a faint heartbeat, she eats, but her scent is normal like every other human.” said Alice, “Not only that her scent masked the vampires. I didn’t see any of them coming, Jasper can’t feel her emotions and Edward can’t read either of their minds.” she added

“You can’t read either of their minds?” Esme asked with worry

“Yes, we think one of them is a shield and put a mental shield to protect their thoughts.” Rosalie said

“Their siblings, Kol and Katherine Stone. They moved here from France 3 days ago.” Emmett said

“We need to tell Carlisle.” Alice stated

“We will but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning at 10am.” Esme said as she heard commotions from Jasper and Alice’s room 

They all rushed to see what was going on. When they enter the doorway, Jasper is zooming around his room going through every book he has on his bookshelves. They see opened boxes on the floor. He is clearly looking for something. Edward couldn’t figure out what was on his mind as he was moving too fast.

“Jasper what are you doing? You’re making a mess.” Alice spoke

“I know and I’m sorry but I know I’ve seen them before.” Jasper spoke as he stopped looking at a book before zooming around the room. He stopped again and grabbed another book, “I can’t remember if I’ve seen them in a book or in a photo.” he said as he looked through the book before zooming around his room again.

Edward sighed, “Look, I’m gonna go hunt and then try and find where they live. If they feed off animals like us then they probably have a house near the woods. You’re all welcome to join if you want.” he said then walked away towards the door

Emmett and Alice joined Edward in trying to find the Stone siblings. Rosalie stayed back because she didn’t want to deal with it until Carlisle came back from work. Jasper looked through his and Alice’s entire room before moving to the garage to open the boxes they had stored away. When he got nowhere with the boxes in the garage, he moved to the basement/storage room. When he found nothing, he went straight to the attic where his stuff from the late 1800s and his time during the Civil War were stored away. Jasper didn’t stop looking until he found what he needed. Edward, Alice and Emmett had no luck in finding the Stone siblings residency. They traveled until they reached the treaty line and gave up and went back home. When they got back home, Jasper was in the garage looking through the boxes that hadn’t been unpacked yet. They heard him yell in frustration before zooming to the basement/storage room. After that, everyone parted ways and did their own thing and waited for Carlisle to come home. Meanwhile all this was happening
