Chapter 6

Meeting the Cullens

It was 7 in the morning and the Cullens were getting ready to head over to the waterfall to meet the Stones, all of them were on edge including Carlisle but put on a calm demeanor. The family zoomed over to the waterfall, jumping over logs, dodging branches. Then they arrived at the edge and looked around, the Stone siblings were nowhere around. Edwards was frustrated

“Are you sure they're even coming?” Edward spoke with frustration, “How do we know this isn’t a set up?”, before Carlisle could responded, a voice came on the other side of the waterfall

“A set up? Never.” Kol spoke from a tree branch, both he and Katherine jumped down and walked to the rocks, “I mean sure we have a history of killing other vampires but us, set you up? Thats a low blow.” he spoke with sarcasm

“How long were you guys in those trees?” Alice asked

“About 20 minutes.” he responds

“Can we just get this over with, what is it you want?” Edward asked annoyed

“Now Edward, calm yourself, that's no way to treat our guests.” Esme spoke up

“Guests? We are not your guests, if anything, you're our guests.” Kol spoke 

“I beg to differ.” Emmett spoke up, challenging Kol

“Oh look at that, the big boy is trying to challenge me, that's funny.” Kol said with a dry chuckle, “We know about the treaty between your coven and the Quileute tribe.”

“How?” Carlisle asked

“We were the ones who gave Ephriam the idea to create the treaty, you see before you guys came along my sister and I became honorary members of the tribe. I was even allowed on their land.” Kol answered “But after a nasty vampire attack, Ephriam made a treaty with us. My sister is allowed on their land but I am not, we were given bracelets to let future generations know we are allies.” he said, holding up his wrist to show the bracelet

“So why ask us to come here and talk if you already know everything?” Alice questioned

“Because we wanted to make sure you weren’t a threat to us.” he replied

“Us, a threat to you, if anything you're a threat to us.” Edward spoke with anger, “After all, you’re the ones with the bad rep.”

“I suggest you watch your tongue, unless you wish to lose it. And as I said before, we were here first, so you’re the threat to us and our territory.” Kol warned

“Territory, what do you mean territory?” Esme spoke

“You see, we were given territory by Ephriam as a gift. On this side of the waterfall, is our territory and the fact some of your coven members were on our land Friday night and early yesterday morning only makes you a threat even more.” Kol states

“First of all, we didn’t know the territory existed or that it was already claimed.” Carlisle said respectfully, “And I apologize if we made you feel threatened by our presence.”

“It’s fine. Just stay out of our territory.” Kol said

“I agree, we’ll stay out of your territory.” Carlisle replied
