Chapter 7

Bonding

Katherine would miss 4 and half weeks of school because she turned into her wolf and roamed around the woods for a few days. However, this schedule would soon prove difficult because they are running out of excuses. They decided to change her transformation schedule. Instead of the beginning and end of the month, she would transform in the middle of every month. They told Billy of the schedule change so he knew it wasn’t another child of the moon. They were able to pass it off as Katherine going to the therapy in Seattle. Another month of school had passed and Edward still wasn’t back yet, Carlisle passed it off as Edward dealing with “biological family" back in New York. Katherine was currently at her locker, waiting for her brother. She was switching out her books when she felt the mate pull. Katherine looked around the hall and saw Emmett at the end of the hall, walking by. He was looking at her too. Emmett broke eye-contact when he went into a different hallway. Katherine looked back into her locker and sighed. She then pulled out a folded piece of paper. It was a letter to Emmett, telling him to meet her at the waterfall but she didn’t have the guts to give it to him. She stood for a moment staring at the letter before shaving it in her back pocket and closing her locker. She was way over her head but she had a plan, put it in his locker, when, she didn’t know. Kol was by her side now and she acted like nothing happened. If Kol found out about this, he would lose his mind. Katherine was in her World History class when she made the signal to go to the bathroom, the teacher gave permission for her to go. Katherine went to Emmett’s locker instead and slid the letter in between the gap. She stood there for a second before heading back to class. Katherine was in the library for lunch as Kol would be tutoring another student for the next couple of week. She was at the back of the library, eating her sandwich and reading her history book for homework.

Emmett went back to his locker to switch out his books and grab his “lunch” when the letter fell on the floor. Confused, he picked it up, examined it front and back before opening it, and he read it.

Emmett had a big smile on his face, he couldn’t wait for school to be over. Emmett put the letter away in a book before closing his locker and heading over to his siblings. He was happy and he wasn’t hiding it.

“What’s got you in a good mood?” jasper spoke

“Nothing, just a good day I guess.” Emmett replied

The siblings looked confused at each other, Emmett, in a good mood, impossible. They went to their usual lunch table in the cafeteria as they waited for the Stone siblings to show up and sit at their usual table but they didn’t. Emmett had a confused look on his face because he saw them show up today, he got a letter from Katherine but now they are no longer there.

“They’re not gonna show up.” Jasper said, “Kol got stuck tutoring a student for the next couple of weeks and since the cafeteria is crowded, Katherine is in the library. In case you are wondering.” he added

“How do you know that?” Emmett asked

“Heard some students talking about it in the hall. How she ‘got the hot new kid to tutor her’ and plans to go out with him.” Jasper replied, Rosalie tensed
