𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 closely, caelynn kept her eyes on the basketball game occurring right in front of her eyes. on her left sat brycier and on her right was janova, and on janova's right was remiyah.
all four of them are quiet just like the rest of the large audience.
not even the cheerleaders are cheering, which included nyani. she was on the sidelines watching the game the same as everyone else.
at the moment, the players on the court are setting up the formation for the opposing team to do two free throw shots in response to a foul.
caelynn and the friends, of course, are hoping for them to miss, and while they did miss one, they made the other.
it wasn't worrying because the leading team remains the bulldogs (caelynn's school). they're up by ten points. they've got to defend their score for the next two minutes of this last quarter, and to caelynn, the 'magic' of the games always happens in the fourth quarter.
she's not sure if that applies for basketball. she's seen it happen more than once in football. but if it does work for basketball, then that means no one can get excited just yet.
the other team can score at any duration of these two minutes, and they may score just enough points to turn the game around.
this is a serious game too. it's the last game of the playoff series. whoever wins this game will face the eagles in the championship round, so there's a lot of heavy expectations and pressure on both schools tonight.
caelynn watched akari pass the ball to one of his teammates, and the teammate dribbled it further down the court before passing again.
zakiar caught it, he shot it, and the ball went in.
