Everyone was left utterly speechless as Lorelei finished her story. Everyone knew the atrocities that the alliance committed against their people individually, but hearing a personal account of what it was like living on the inside was more than just heartbreaking, it was devastating.

"That unfortunately answers my question about the nameless child you and Zachary shared," Michael sighed from the couch.

"That's right," Lorelei stated.

"Dear god..." Sandalfon said in disbelief.

"Why did he need to be the one to... do it?" Cyrus asked in disgust "They could have sent anyone in, couldn't they have? Or, if doing... that wasn't the goal to make you cry, they could have just inseminated you. Couldn't they have?"

"Technically yes, but he was trying to prove a sick point through the entire process," Lilith sighed "I'm so sorry that you had to go through that."

"It's... whatever at this point." Lorelei sighed as she glanced at her hand "I'm a survivor, and for all I know, I'm the only one."

"You came to the right place," Ada said as she offered her hand "We're going to get back at them for what they've done to you," she stated confidently, and Lorelei took her hand, gently squeezing it.

"Not just you, all of us." Dimitri stated with determination as he looked at Cyrus "For all I know, Coventina could still be there, and I'm not going to sit here knowing that she might be suffering like you did."

"They took my daughter's mother away from this world," Cyrus stated boldly "I won't stand for anyone else to grieve like we have because of them."

"They shot up my favorite hotel room and landed my friend in the hospital," Ada stated, glancing at Lilith "And now I know what they've done to our granddaughter. This is going to come to an end."

"This all started with me," Lilith stated as she stood up "Demons being viewed this way, Matthias turning into... whatever this is... it's all me when you really think about it."

"Lilith, it's not your fault-" Adam tried to chime in.

"But what they've all ignored is what's become of us in the modern age." Lilith stated confidently "Feeding off humans is becoming consensual to the point rogue hunters are shamed, we walk among humanity and we've gotten so good at veiling that we practically blend in. And now, species like vampires and werewolves that were literally created to be mortal enemies are actually working together to take down these people that are just trying to fuck up everything good that's happened." she explained.

"That's a beautiful thought, it really is, Lils," Rebecca sighed "But I doubt Augustus Caulson is going to listen to reason on this."

"Augustus," Lorelei sighed "So, what I know is that after Zachary poisoned himself to death, his son Augustus picked things up right where he left off."

"Wait, that's where I get confused," Lucifer said curiously "Why did Zach rush to drink the tear?"

"Oh, I forgot to even mention that..." Lorelei said in surprise "I found out a few years later that he had cancer. No clue what kind, just that it was terminal."

"Shit," Samael said as he walked to the kitchen "So that's what he meant by a visionary on borrowed time."

"I guess he was desperate, and when he found out I had the potential for a cure, he didn't care how far he had to take things to get it." Lorelei stated bluntly "Luckily, most mythology leaves out the fact that my kind usually leans on the deadlier side, so he didn't know he was killing himself when he got what he wanted."
