"You have quite an interesting history, don't you, doctor?" Lilith whispered in the dark as Zach looked around, trying to find the source of the voice "Then again, so does your whole family in the grand scheme of things. What a shame, even after a hundred years you're all a bunch of failures."
"Who's there?" he asked worriedly.
"We'll get to that, but first, let's talk about you," she hissed in his ear, making the hair on the back of his neck stand up "Can you feel it, Zachary? The sins crawling up your weak little spine?" she asked, and he tensed up as he felt a claw digging into his back.
"What do you want?" he asked, careful not to move.
"I want you to feel the pain and the fear you've caused," she growled as she slashed across his back, causing him to fall forward "Hex has no doubt been doing a fantastic job the past twenty-two years, but this... this is personal." she smiled as he heard her heels clicking across the floor.
"I don't even know you," he said as he gasped, feeling his back sting as his blood was exposed to the frigid air.
"Not yet," she stated sternly as she approached him, clutching the top of his head and yanking on his hair as he tried to see through the darkness "But I know your ghosts, and they're just itching for their screams to be heard again," she stated, and suddenly, he was forced into a memory.
"Again," Zach stated, and the other doctor looked down at Lucinda, examining her already broken limbs.
"Where?" the doctor asked, and Zach glanced at her curiously before turning his attention to her right hand.
"Smash her fingers," he stated casually, and the doctor nodded as Lucinda braced herself, tears streaming down her face. As the doctor picked up the hammer, she closed her eyes, trying to scream through the gag as she felt her bones shatter.
"That should be enough." Zach said, finally satisfied "Give her one pint and document the speed of her regeneration."
"Yes, sir." the doctor said as he set the bloody hammer down on the table, and Lucinda watched in fear as Zach gazed down at her face.
"Relax, honey, we're done for now." he winked.
"Hold him down!" a woman shouted, suddenly being thrown across the room from being whipped by the sheer force of the creature's tail.
"Melinda, get back!" Zach shouted as he watched Blaise hold his own in the corner of the operating room, quickly pulling out his taser and doing what had to be done to subdue this beast.
"Quick thinking," the woman said as she sat up, watching as two other doctors quickly restrained him "He's way too strong, even at low energy."
"He just wants us to think he is." Zach stated angrily as he looked at Blaise, analyzing the problem "Prep him for surgery."
"Sir?" one of the doctors asked in confusion.
"That tail has to go,"
"Please, you don't have to do this!" Nina screamed as she backed into the corner, terrified as Zach and two other scientists held her at gunpoint "I don't know, okay? I can't control it like that,"
