Chapter 8

Hearing Zach running to the basement I'm instantly on high alert and follow behind "You're gonna open the door. You're gonna open the door." I hear the lock shift followed by Zac yelling "No, No get out of here! Run!" Sprinting downstairs I pass Caroline and Tackle Damon as he's trying to get Caroline "Run! Don't look back" I Scream at her trying to pin him down but he's stronger than me and easily flips us around and pushes off of me chasing Caroline. Chasing after Damon I stop as Caroline is about to opening the door avoiding the incoming sunlight watching Damon Sprint directly into it.

"DAMON!" I quickly ran over and pushed him from the sun. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" Throwing him into the nearest wall, hissing at him in anger. Walking back down to the basement I'm paused, staring at Zack laying there with a crocked neck where Damon previously attacked him. Shaking my head, I pull my phone out and ring Stefan "Aurora? Is everything ok?" "No, Damons out. Zach he... He attacked him. He's" "I'm coming home now Aurora" putting my phone back down I head upstairs to meet Stefan and Damon is nowhere to be seen looking outside I notice the sun has dropped and is about to set which means we have an even bigger problem. Damon is out there, pissed and Unstable.  Stefan arrives and rushes inside to go downstairs. I stay up here to give him some privacy.

A few moments later Stefan has returned, and he is rushing around grabbing some stakes. Tossing me one I give him a puzzled look unsure on what is happening "He needs to be stopped once and for all..." "Stefan... You can't he's your brother..." "All the more reason to do what is right." Stefan runs to the, I drop the stake and follow him trying to stop him doing something he will regret when he pulls the door open, and we are faced with Elena.

Elena is visibly upset, instantly I'm worried Damon has done something. Looking eyes with my sister she reaches for me "Aurora step back, get behind me" she turns to Stefan with confidence and opens her mouth. "What are you? What are you" My mouth drops. She knows. Elena knows. She doesn't know about me hence being worried for my safety, but she knows. "You know" I look to Stefan not moving from behind him "No I don't" "Yes you do, or you wouldn't be here" "It's not possible, it can't be" "Everything you know...And every belief that you have is about to change. Are you ready for that?" "What are you?"

I step forward and speak for him noticing he's a bit hesitant. She needs to know "where Vampires" She looks to me shocked and scared "shouldn't have come." "No. Please." she slowly backs away "No. No" Stefan approaches her and as she turns, he rushes Infront of her to confront her again "How did you do that?" Shes starting to Panick and is looking back between both of us terrified "Elena I'm Sorry" I say looking into her eyes "Please don't be afraid of me." Stefan begs her "Let me go" Elena yells at him "No. Elena, there's things that you have to know and understand." "Elena please listen to us I try to reason with her "Let me go!" "Elena Please" Stefa begs as he watches her climb into her car and drive off.

He turns to me, Hurt visible in his eyes. "Stefan I'm Sorry, Shell come around. Trust me" Suddenly Stefans rushes off in the direction Elena just drove in. Leaving me alone. Grabbing the Stake he left on the driveway I grab it and took it back inside. Going downstairs, I collect a few sheets, cover Zach with them, and pick him up, deciding Stefan will be busy and Zach doesn't deserve to be left on the floor. Placing his body in a spare room leaving him with a sheet over him and a mental note to tell Stefan he's there. Suddenly I hear my phone ringing walking over to grab it I see an unknown number

"Hello?" "Aurora, where is Stefan. Where is my ring." "Where are you? What have you done." No what have you done... Anything I have done is on you, you locked me in the basement. Now where is my ring?" "I Don't know. You snapped my neck and stole mine when everything went done remember! Ask Stefan" hanging up I quickly rush of to find Stefan.

It didn't take me long as he was still outside my family's home "Not creepy at all waiting out here" "Damon has threatened Elena if I don't give his ring back" "You have to give it to him!" "I know, I just need time. I need to stay here and protect Elena" "Where is he?" "Cemetery. Follow the smell of burning bodies..." God. Rushing off towards the cemetery instantly getting hit with the smell of burning flesh I sprint towards the smell and stop when I spot Damon Pouring Liquor over drained body's. "What have you done Damon" Making eye contact I shake my head in disappointment. "Hang around and find out" He smirks winking at me. Walking closer I notice Vicki beside him, he starts to pour a bottle of Alcohol over her body when she starts to cough "You just don't want to die do you" Picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder he looks back towards me "Come on, entertain me, keep me from hurting your sister." Started, I just nodded my head and followed him.

Arriving back at the Boarding house he throws Vicki onto the couch, and she groans in pain "At least help her god" rolling his eyes he grabs a sheet and places it slightly under her neck and head. Having had enough drama today I decided to walk upstairs and go to bed.

Being awoken to Damon stamping around in a hissy fit wasn't in my top 10 ways to be woken. Pulling the sheets off me I climb up and make my way downstairs "Where are you, Stefan? I'm trapped at the house, and I'm getting really bored and really impatient, and I don't do bored and impatient. Bring me my ring. Damn it." pouring a drink he looks to me offering me one I just nod my head and walk over to grab it. "Oh, don't get blood on the couch. Please" he walks closer and sits on the small table beside Vicki to have a closer look "I got you good didn't I" after not getting a reply he looks over at me and sighs. "Well, you're not going to be fun today. I'm so going to regret this" Biting into his wrist I flinch and look away getting flash backs from a few days ago. "Drink up. Drink it up. Don't drip. There you go. Good girl. That's it." "Really Damon, you better not turn her too" Walking off pissed even though the day has just begun.

"Oh, man. That shower was so great. What did you give me?" hearing Vicki up and about I look up from a book and watch her looking at her neck. "Some blood. You loved it." "I did? Wait. I'm confused. How did we get here?" Damon looks into her face and compels her "We met in the woods. You were drunk. I attacked you. Then I killed all of your friends and brought you here, gave you same blood. You loved it. And now we're gonna party till the sun goes down."
