Chapter 28: The Family Dinner

Jin hugged his mother as soon as she opened the door. Instead of going out for dinner, they preferred to eat at home since Jimin and Namjoon won't also be able to make it because of Jimin's stomach cramps.

"I have missed you so much!" Jin said to his smiling mother.

The woman, despite of old age, is still gorgeous with the same shape of face as Jin's.

"I am glad you were able to make it. I have missed you, too." His mother said. "Let's get inside. Your father is starving."

"When is he not?" Jin said.

"I heard that, young man." His father said with a chuckle and also hugged Jin when he went inside.

"I was expecting your family to be with you." His mother said as he held his hand towards the dining area.

Jin smiled at how warm his parents accepted Jungkook and Yoongi despite of not meeting them. They were always this kind even when they have warned him about Mingyu, still they were kind to him.

"They are still busy in the farm, eomma, and Yoongi started schooling. I cannot take them here for a long time, since there are a lot of things I would need to work on while I am here." Jin said as he sat.

"Jagiya, I told him that we can visit them in Busan." His father said.

"That will be fun. However, we need to go back in the US next week. We can go back after we settle things there." She said.

"Are you now settled in the new house you bought?" Jin asked.

"Not yet, son. We need to be there as there are a lot of things the insurance will need us to settle. We can go back in time for your boyfriend's birthday." His father said.

"Thank you, Appa. He and Yoongi will be happy to finally meet you."

"He's a hardworking man. I am sure that he'll be able to take care of you." His dad said.

His mom smiled at him, agreeing to his father. Even though they just knew him based on what Jin told them, and the investigation they had about him which Jin knew, they did that to Mingyu, too, that is why they were hesitant about him. Still, they knew that Jungkook is a kind man trying to raise his kid on his own before Jin came in the picture.

"I would love to meet our grandchild and our new son." His mother said. "He looks so cute in his pictures and that man of yours is really something." She said winking at Jin.

"Eomma!" Jin exclaimed, realizing what his mom is talking about.

His father coughed slightly, as if telling them to change topic.

His mom laughed at their reactions as Jin blushed.

"Let's start the dinner." She said and their maids started serving them the food she cooked.

The dinner was fun for Jin and his parents. He misses them a lot but he got used to living away from them since College because he studied away from their house. Eversince then, he lived independently which he also liked.

"Aside from Yoongi, I hope we'll have another grandchild soon." His father said while they were eating.

Jin almost choked on his food with what he heard.

"Appa!"

His mom smiled mischievously at him.

"Oh my god! You two! Don't get me started with that smile, eomma! You know that..."

"Your man is a hunk! I am sure that the deed was done already."

"Gosh! I could not believe my ears! Why are you guys like this?!" He said with wide eyes looking at them.

"Well, you can't blame us. We have always wanted a grandchild but you're not giving it to us. I guess now that you found the right guy, you can give us a grandchild." She explained.

"We have Yoongi, Eomma." Jin said.

"And I am not discrediting him. What I am saying is it's time for you to also carry your own. Yoongi will still be your rightful heir to everything you own once you and Jungkook get to be married, but if he does not like that, just create another heir." His mom said as if he and Jungkook had been married for years and that she planned everything in her head.

"Wait! Okay... so Jungkook and I are not married yet. Let's be clear on that. Also, eomma, you talk as if you wanted a team of grandchildren." He said with a shake of his head.

"Why not? I want 10. We can afford if anyway. They can stay in the US with us if you grew tired of them." She said nonchalantly.

"Eomma! Appa, did you guys invited me for this?" Jin asked looking at his appa who was silently eating, not even objecting at all.

"We talked about it, yes." He said as he cut his steak softly.

Jin shook his head. "I couldn't believe my ears." Jin said and the two just laughed at him.

After taking a bath and while having his skin care, Jin immediately called Jungkook.

Jungkook is all smile as he answered the video call.

"Baby! I miss you." Jungkook said right away.

"I miss you, too, babe. How are you and Yoongi?"

"Yoongi's still in his room. I told him to fix his cabinets of toys if he wants to talk to you. He should be here in a few minutes. Aren't you tired yet, baby?" Jungkook said.

"That's good. And no, not super tired but yes a little bit tired because of the travel. How was the farm?"

"You should rest early. What are your plans tomorrow?

The farm is okay and it's still the usual."

"Tomorrow, I'll have to work at the company. My dad will also be there and we'll have some conversation about the management."

"Oh, how was your dinner?" Jungkook asked, remembering that Jin will have dinner with his parents.

"It is fine. Argh! They are excited to meet you and Yoongi! I wish they'll be able to meet you soon." Jin said.

"They are?" Jungkook said in a surprised tone. He knows that Jin already told them about him but he is not sure upto what detail.

"They are! They said that Yoongi will be the rightful heir to the company but we'll have to create another child if he refuses, too." Jin said laughing at it because he can't believe his parents would suggest such thing.

Jungkook's heart felt so warm, knowing that Jin's parents considers Yoongi already as their grandchild, despite of not knowing them personally yet. He is sure that they were investigated, as per Jin, but still they already think that Yoongi and him should be part of the family.

However, he was caught off guard by the suggestion to create a child if Yoongi does not want to manage the company.

"How did you answer them?"

Jin stopped with the question, not really sure what to tell Jungkook.

"Well, I was surprised by their suggestion. My mom said she wants 10 grandchildren." He answered.

Jungkook laughed at 10 but Jin was more surprised with the answer. "Yeah, I think we can do 10." He said.

"Jeon Jungkook!" Jin exclaimed.

"Better get home soon because we need to start if we want 10. We are not getting any younger and the longer we wait, the harder for you to give birth but you know that I can do more than 10 as long as you want to. You can stop your pills anytime and I'll make sure to put a baby inside of you every year." Jungkook said with full confidence.

Jin's ears got red and Jungkook can clearly see the blush from his neck up. He just widened his eyes without saying for anything more because he is sure that Jungkook will also not stop talking about it and they might end up having phone sex if he'll keep on bringing it up.

He decided to just ask about Yoongi and insisted on talking to him until the three of them fell asleep.
