Chapter 15: The Past

Jin felt like him and Jungkook were not able to spend their weekend productively, considering that they were just inside the small house. Jungkook visited Yoongi yesterday, but Jin was not able to join him due to soreness. He planned on joining Jungkook later today in visiting Yoongi since he was able to recover a bit from their rough nights. He misses the little man and he hopes to spend time with him again.

"You're lost in thoughts." Jungkook said as he hugged him from behind while he was taking his coffee outside the small house.

Jin smiled and held Jungkook's hands that were hugging his waist.

"What time should we visit Yoongi?" Jin asked.

"Can you walk already?" Jungkook said, teasing him.

Jin slapped Jungkook's hand that was currently hugging his waist.

"I miss him." Jin said.

"I miss him, too." Jungkook said. "However, I let his grandparents take him every month because they deserve it, too." Jungkook said.

Jin got curious and removed Jungkook's hand from his waist, then pulled Jungkook so that they can sit at the small bench outside.

"Tell me more about you and Yoongi, Kook." Jin said.

Jungkook was thinking deep before answering Jin. "What do you want to know?" He asked.

"Let's start with your life before Yoongi." Jin said. "How did you and Jimin met? And how did you meet Yoongi's mom?"

"Oh, that." Jungkook said. Jin saw some hesitancy but Jungkook looks like he is okay in opening it up. "Well, me and my parents are originally living in the city side of Busan." He started. "We all met when we started in highschool. Hobi, Tae and Jimin all went to the city to study. That is where I have met them. My father is a regular worker at a big company. We are not that rich but also not poor. But that was how I get to meet rich people like Jimin. My mom is a housewife. Basically, I grew up in a normal family with my parents taking care of me very well.

Everything went downhill when my mom met an accident. My father was traumatized and blamed himself for it, because he insisted that he and my mom have their lunch that day. I just started my College during that time and it was a bit traumatic for me.

I have met Min Soongi during that time. She had been my strongest wall where I can always lean on. She became part of our group and I was so close to her until we became closer than friends. It was a night of drunkenness when something happened to us. We were still trying to figure out life and our relationship that time, and considering my situation, I am unable to really distinguish love from comfort. But that night resulted to Yoongi which I will never regret. Without him, my world will just crumble to pieces.

However, that day when Yoongi was born, was also the day I lost my very best friend, Soongi. She lost a lot of blood resulting to eventual shock and heart attack. It was too fast. As soon as they gave Yoongi to me, an emergency was called inside the delivery room and that's when they said what happened to Soongi. Her parents were heartbroken but Yoongi is a spitting image of his mother so they fell for him right away, being their solace during their daughter's passing.

I had to give up school even before that because of my father's situation. He was confined to a mental institution as he tried to kill himself multiple times."

Jin tried not to give any expression but he held Jungkook's hand.
