Chapter 4: The Food

"Thank you for cooking, Jin. I really appreciate it." Jungkook said as he went back to the kitchen after setting up the table for lunch.

Jin was taking water from the fridge and smiled at Jungkook. "You are welcome, Jungkook. I actually enjoy cooking and since I don't have a lot to do lately, I think I can help out while I'm here. I can look out for Yoongi since the child is not really a nuisance. In fact, I am happy that he is here with me since we can do a lot of things together." Jin said as he walked towards the dining area with the water, followed by Jungkook.

Jungkook helped him with the glasses they'll use and smiled at Jin.

Jin felt like he's melting with Jungkook's smile. He has a very cute face, he thought. For a long time, Jin never had a crush at anyone, probably because he was just focused to his husband and now, suddenly, Jungkook is here, proving to him that Mingyu is not the only man left on earth.

"I'll just call Yoongi so that we can all eat." Jungkook said and went to the living area to fetch Yoongi.

Jin tried to maintain his composure that he seemed to lose everytime that he sees Jungkook.

"Jinnie!" Yoongi said rushing to the dining area, trying to get up from the seat again. He was about to carry the child but Jungkook beat him to it. "Wow! There's a lot of food. Thank you, Jinnie! Everything looks delicious." Yoongi said.

"Did you wash your hands already, little man?" Jin asked.

Yoongi pouted and shook his head.

"Why don't we wash our hands together?" Jin asked and Yoongi nodded to him.

Jungkook was about to carry him but Jin beat him this time as he carried Yoongi towards the sink.

"Jin, I can carry him. He might be heavy." Jungkook said.

"Your child is actually lightweight. I can carry him." Jin said.

Yoongi and Jin washed their hands happily as Jin taught him how to wash hands properly using the birthday song.

"Daddy! My hands are clean!" Yoongi said proudly.

Jungkook smiled at him and carried him away from the sink. "I can see that, Yoongi. We can eat now." He said as he also finish washing his hands.

All three of them went back to their seats. Jin asked Jungkook to stay in the middle as he is not used to staying in the middle part of the table.

Jungkook was used to being him and Yoongi, and so he agreed even though he finds it awkward since this is the first time they'll be eating with other people in the table. That person even cooked for them, which usually is his job.

Jin started serving them the food he cook.

"I can do it, Jin. I think you are doing a lot for us." Jungkook said as he was about to stand.

"Stay on your seat, Jungkook. I was not the one who worked in the farm almost the whole day." He said and kept on serving them. He is used to this kind of set-up because he is a plain husband to Mingyu. The man would just go home with his plate already being served to him and he still had the audacity to cheat on Jin when he just followed whatever Mingyu wanted.

It was actually more fun for Jin to serve Yoongi and Jungkook. As soon as they tasted the food, both their eyes widened due to the taste.

Jin just looked at them not talking but just kept on eating.

"The two of you need to be careful and need to chew your food. You might choke." He said as he slowly take in his own food.

"Jinnie! This is yummy!" Yoongi said even when his mouth is full.

Jin just smiled at his cuteness, but he can't also allow him to talk like that. "Yoongi, chew your food." He said and the child actually did.

"This is good, Jin. I think you can teach me sometime and I can cook something like this for Yoongi." Jungkook said smiling at Jin then to his son.

"I will teach you once I'm done here. For now, I will cook for the both of you." Jin said as he started eating again. He was amazed how these two actually enjoyed the food he served. Mingyu never gave him that impression with the food he ever served to him. Sometimes, he doubts his skills but Jimin would always tell him that everything tastes good.

They ended their lunch with a taste of the cupcakes that he baked.

Jungkook felt like he is already floating. It's the first time he tasted something as delicious as the cupcake given to him. It's not that he never tasted one. He did probably twice in his life, but this one is actually way better than what he tasted.

"Jinnie! Cupakes are delicious!" Yoongi shouted when he had one bite.

Jin smiled at him. "I already taught you how to say it, right? It should be, CUP-CAKES." He said with emphasis.

Instead of repeating, Yoongi just smiled at him while Jungkook looked at his son lovingly. Jin thought that this was hopefully him and Mingyu, but his ex-husband did not want him to get pregnant in their first 2 years of marriage and after that 2-years, he never touched Jin. He looked at Yoongi and thought how fun it would have been to have a child like him, he thought he can be a good father. He was almost teary-eyed thinking about it, but since he did not want Jungkook, nor Yoongi, to see his emotions, he tried to control them and continue eating the cupcakes.

"Jungkook, I also packed cupcakes for you that you may eat later at work." Jin said.

Jungkook was surprised and got shy. "N-no n--need for that, J-Jin. I---I should s-survive with t-this lunch. I-it's already enough food until dinner." Jungkook said.

"You are doing a lot of physical work and your body will also need snacks. I packed just few cupcakes that you may also share with people in the farm. I will give them to you before you leave." Jin said, disregarding Jungkook's comments.

"T-Thank you. I-I d-don't want to a-abuse your k-kindness, Jin." Jungkook said with his head low.

"I initiated this. You and Yoongi are kind to me." Jin said.

"Yoongi kind!" Yoongi shouted and smiled at Jin.

"Of course, you are, little man. Why don't you stay here with me everyday instead of going with daddy?" Jin asked.

Yoongi pouted. "I want go with daddy at the farm." He said.

"Oh, okay." Jin said.

"Yoongi, Jin wanted to be with you. It might be better to be here with him so that you won't get bored in the farm while daddy works." Jungkook said to his child, knowing why Jungkook wanted Yoongi to stay.

"Daddy, can't Jinnie stay with us in the farm? I want to be with you and Jinnie!" Yoongi requested which surprised Jin and Jungkook.

Jungkook looked at Jin and then at Yoongi. "No, baby, Jin should not be exposed to the heat of the sun. He is not used to it."

"I think I can get used to it. Why not?" Jin said and shrugged. "I can maybe join you in the afternoon with Yoongi. Right, little man?"

Yoongi nodded at him and smiled. "See, daddy? He also likes the farm." Yoongi said.

Jungkook rubbed his nape at his child and bit his bottom lip.

Jin just smiled at Yoongi and looked at Jungkook quickly, who seemed bothered by it. Well, seeing Jungkook in action should be fun, too. He said to himself.
