Violets eye fluttered open, he stretched all of his limbs before hopping off of Vine. He yawned before turning around to walk her.
He paused.
Vine was clearly experiencing a nightmare, her four legs were kicking erratically, she was fighting some imaginary... Thing.
Violet contemplated waking her up, but, he could easily be kicked and/or he could give her more of a fright than she already is having.
He went outside of their cave, he should go and upgrade it as much as he could until Vine wakes up.
He'll greet her once she wakes up.

Vine hissed at a shadowy figure, its floating head tracking her every movement like some perverse biological version of a camera.
"W-Who are you..?" She asked, ears lowering, whatever it was, it was more powerful than her.
Stronger, Hungrier, Smarter, Better than her.
".uoy m'I"
Its voice sounded like all possible tongues of creature language all mashed into some... Incomprehensible mess. It felt wrong, so, so wrong.
Vine closed her eyes in a primal panic, it was fine, she was fine, it doesn't exist, it can't hurt her.

Violet was dragging a large rock behind himself, it hurt his ears, a lot. But, it would help quite a bit with—
His train of thought halted the second he saw Vine walking out of their cave. He quickly let go of the boulder and hopped over to her. "Good Century!" He said cheerfully.
Vine waved at him with her claw before stretching.
"How'd you sleep..?" She asked, maybe a conversation could distract her from that nightmare.
"Great! How about you?"
"I had this weird ass dream... I forgot what it was about, but it definitely was pretty weird."
"Huh, what do you remember from it?"
"Hmm... I was attacked by my shadow."
"Ooo! Did you win?" Violet asked, Vine paused.
She didn't want to seem weak to him, it was (assumably) her own shadow! And it was all in her mind so she should've won! but she also didn't want to lie to him, especially since they're friends and roommates now...
"...Yeah, I came out on top!" It was best to have him trust her as a powerful creature so that there's less of a chance of him betraying her in the future. That's what she told herself, at least.
"Cool! I wish I could fight my shadow in my dreams.."
"What do you mean? I'm pretty certain that someone like you would have more than enough creativity for those kind of dreams."
"Oh... I can't dream... I just sit in a white void until I wake up."
"Huh, weird."
"I know!" Violet said, he knew that other creatures could dream, that white void was just... There. He's seen things in it, but that was it.
It was like a little cage for him. He loves sleeping well! Everyone does! But... He doesn't want to sleep and be trapped there for Eye knows how long yet again.
"Why were you even dragging that rock here anyways?" Vine asked, crashing Violets train of thought for the second time that century.
"Oh— I wanted to go and improve our cave while you were sleeping!" He said, hopping over to the boulder and dragging it back to the cave.
Vine could feel a tendril of guilt craw up her spine.
"That's... Nice of you!" She said, smiling as genuine as a smile as she could. "Do you need any help..?"
"Yeah.. My ears and tail are hurting quite a bit from it.. I hope that it isn't a burden for you!"
"Nono— It's fine! ...I- ...I could help you as much as needed! It's the least I could do after you saved me a millennia ago!"
"I thought you already did that when you killed that blob?"
Vine lowered her ears for a second before responding, "I really think that I should still make up for leading us there in the first place!" That was a lie. They both didn't know what they were going into.
But, Vines willing to take full responsibility for everything. Especially after her revelation about BR last century.
