After a few days of just laying there, Violet finally asked something.
"...Why do you lie to me so often..?"

Vines blood went cold. Too much has already happened and she wasn't ready to dissect her emotions and morals, though, she might never be ready...

But, telling him was better than being alone.

"I was afraid of the possibility of you betraying me, so I thought that if I made myself seem stronger than I am, then I would be safer.."

"...What made you think that I would ever betray you..? Did I something wrong..."

"Wha— No! If I'm a shitty creature, then that's because I'm a shitty creature. But, whatever I do, think, or say, is not your fault. And you shouldn't feel guilty for even being near me, I should've known better. I'm sorry."

"I'm also sorry, I don't know what you went through, and I never met to make you feel like you had to be somebody else to be safe around me."

They both smiled at each other for the first time that century, obviously, they still needed to sort things out before they could properly forgive each other.

A simple 'Sorry' isn't gonna fix everything, but it's promise for improvement on both sides.

They both needed support, and they're both willing to help each other from now on...

After a while of just sitting there and talking about literally fucking nothing, they both went outside to continue building. It was fun while it lasted, but now, they have to continue working.

Vine couldn't cut up the boulders since she was still healing, though she was able to be the one to do the building while Violet did the collecting and cutting instead.

They were able to add a few extra 'rooms' to the cave as well as the layout for a soon-to-be wall around it. A whole millennia of work was able to be done in a single century with their teamwork.

Vine was still angry at the stain that was her mother, if she could, she would've ripped that bitches face off the second she saw her.

She sighed before laying down onto the ground, Violet joined her. His orange eye half-lidded in exhaustion and relief,  he leaned against Vine and sighed as well. This century was a better one, especially compared to the last.

Vine could feel the others chest(?) rising and falling as he fell asleep, she yawned herself, a nap sounds nice right now, hopefully she'll dream about something that isn't that shadowy entity.

Violet was in a starry void instead of the typical plain whiteness that he's been dealing with his whole life. It was a weird change, but a welcome one nonetheless!

"Hello? Is anybody there?" His voice didn't eco in the void, it took a few hours for him to process the unfamiliar information.

He saw a small red amongst the many blue lights of the environment, he floated in the general direction of it. It felt like it took forever for him to get there...

The light was too bright for him to make out any details of it, but it wasn't bright enough to blind him.

Violet felt like he was being watched by it.

"Hello?" He asked, ears lowering in mild disappointment and confusion.

".olleH"

He jumped in surprise before asking something, "Who are you..?"

"?uoy era ohW ..eye eht m'I"

He couldn't understand anything that it was saying, but he responded anyways. "I'm Violet!"

"...uoy fo draeh ve'I"

Before he could say anything more, he woke up.

This was by far the funniest chap for me to write so far!! There was a tiny bit of angst at the beginning, but compared to last chap, it was rainbows and unicorns tbh
