~SATURDAY~
Katniss Pov
When I wake up, I am reluctant to open my eyes.
I know today is the day I will have to leave the hospital and begin my life without my abusive boyfriend.
Every one here has been nothing but kind but now I have to go back into the cruel world.
I know I'm being a little dramatic, but I literally have no where to go.
I have no family. I lived with Gale for over a year. I have a lot of money saved up since Gale paid for everything.
I had a job, but Gale forced me to because he thought that John, my coworker, was flirting with me.
He was just being friendly. He was engaged anyway.
Knowing I'm going to have to leave, I stand up to get dressed.
Annie has brought me some of her clothes to change into since I have no one to bring me some of my own.
I decide to change in the room since I don't have a bathroom connected to my room and there is no way I'm leaving this room in a hospital gown.
Once I have on everything except a shirt, I hear the door creak open.
"Hello Katniss, you'll be leavin-," Peeta says walking in.
I let out a scream and grab the shirt in attempt to cover myself.
"Oh my gosh I'm so so sorry, I should have knocked oh my gosh," he rambles.
"It's okay," I say embarrassed.
"Ill let you change, press the button when your ready to sign some papers and leave," he mumbles looking down and walking out.
I finish changing and grab my phone off the small table.
I push the button and wait for the awkward moment that is sure to come.
He knocked before he enters this time and walks in as soon as I give the okay.
"Um sign these and your free to go, I'm really sorry about earlier by the way," he says.
"It's okay, your a doctor anyway, so it doesn't matter," I say trying to make him feel better.
I sign the papers and stand to leave.
"Oh and here's my card if you ever need anything," he says handing me a business card.
"Thanks," I say sliding it in my back pocket.
"Tell Annie I said goodbye," I tell him and he laughs and nods his head.
"Alright," he says smiling.
"See ya around," I say turning and walking out.
"Bye Katniss," he says.
"Bye Peeta," I say.
I feel like I'm stalling.
I just need to leave and get my stuff from Gales stupid apartment that I refuse to live in. It holds terrible memories.
Ill just have to stay at a hotel until I find another place to live.
I don't realize I'm still standing in the door way until Peeta practically screams in my face.
"Katniss!"
"Oh yeah?" I question.
"Um you've been standing there for a while," he says scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh I'm sorry, I zoned out," I say sheepishly.
"Oh it's fine," he says.
"Well I guess I'll be going, see you later," I say walking down the hall.
I turn back to see him staring at me.
I quickly snap my head back and walk a little bit faster towards the elevator.
Once I press the buttons, the door closes slowly and I see him wave, but I don't have time to wave back before the door locks into place.
