Katniss Pov
Beep....beep....beep
That is the annoying noise I wake up to.
"SHUT UP!" I scream.
I sit up and start pulling at the wires shoved in my arm.
"WHERE AM I?" I scream to anyone who is listening.
A doctor rushes in.
"Ms. Everdeen, please stop pulling those out, they are very important," he says hurriedly.
"....Okay..." I say unsure.
"Ok Ms. Everdeen, we will need you to stay here a couple of days.... you have a major concussion and a sprained wrist," he says.
"Um okay," I say again unsure.
"I have to fill out an accident report. So would you mind telling me what happened?" he asks kindly.
"Um," I hesitate.
I look into the kind eyes waiting for my answer.
"My boyfriend squeezed my wrist and then threw me up against the wall," I say quietly.
"So I need a non accident form then," he says pulling out another sheet from his clip board.
"I guess so," I say lightly.
"Ok so what is this all about?" he asks carefully.
"Well I wouldn't marry him. I told him no. He tried to force me but I wouldn't have it. So he threw me against the wall," I say.
"Well that wasn't very nice of him," he mumbles under his breath scribbling some stuff down.
I watch him closely as he does this.
He has curly cute blonde hair, and really long blonde eye lashes.
He has a tight jawline and a cute nose.
He glances up quickly to see me watching him.
He smiles and I blush and turn away.
"Ok Ms. Everdeen, we have to report Mr. Hawthorne to the police you do understand that right?" He asks cautiously.
"Um yes sir," I say, actually happy at the thought of Gale going to jail.
"Call me Peeta Ms. Everdeen," he says smiling.
"Well then you can call me Katniss," I say.
"Alright, then Katniss. Some police will be here later to talk to you. You will get out about....Friday," he says.
"So rest that pretty little face of yours until the police officer comes to talk to you," he says shutting the door.
Wait what.
Pretty little face?
I decide to rest, as the doctor suggested, but another thought comes to mind.
I press the button for a nurse to come in.
She rushes in.
"Are you ok ma'm?" The red head asks.
"Oh yes but could you give a note to my Ex-boyfriend for me?" I ask her sweetly.
She laughs and agrees.
I scrawl out on a piece of paper, WE ARE OVER and pass it to her.
"His names Gale Hawthorne, he should be in the waiting room and if not just forget it okay?" I instruct her.
"Yes ma'm," she laughs.
"I'm Annie by the way," she says as she exits the door.
"I'm Katniss," I call.
About 5 minutes later, Annie comes back in laughing her tail off.
"What happened?" I giggle.
"He just got really mad and went on a ramble about you and chickens and birds or something," she gasps as she laughs.
"What?!" i ask laughing.
"It for real happened," she giggles.
"Well, I'll see you later Katniss since I'm your nurse and everything!" She says walking out cheery.
If only I could live in this hospital.
