Taehyung lounged on the couch, surrounded by his friends, Chanyeol and Baekhyun. They were chatting and laughing, but Taehyung's mind kept drifting back to Jungkook.
"It's been a week, and no sign of Kookie," Chanyeol said, shaking his head. "Pity, Kookie. I feel like I want to laugh again."

"Looks like the tables have turned, Taehyung," Baekhyun said, chuckling.
Jungkook's personality was the complete opposite of what Taehyung remembered. Gone was the shy, timid boy; in his place stood a strong, assertive individual who seemed to be daring Taehyung to come closer.
Taehyung felt a shiver run down his spine as Jungkook approached him, his eyes flashing with a fierce intensity.
"Welcome to the new me, Taehyung," Jungkook said, his voice low and husky. "I'm not the same person you mocked and belittled. I'm the one who's going to make you regret ever crossing me."
