Kim Taehyung was known as the coldest man in the company. At twenty-eight, he carried himself with an unshakable calm, a voice sharp as winter air, and eyes that revealed nothing. Colleagues respected him, feared him, but never dared to come close. Taehyung wasn't someone who smiled easily, nor did he waste words on warmth.

Yet behind the closed doors of his apartment, another life existed. Living with him was Jeon Jungkook, four years younger, soft-hearted and endlessly kind. Jungkook owned a small but popular coffee shop in the city, famous for its rich brews and handmade chocolates that melted with a sweetness only he could create.

They were opposites in every way - Taehyung, cold and unreadable, Jungkook, warm and gentle. And though Taehyung never once said the words I love you, his actions spoke louder: the quiet ways he protected Jungkook, the subtle glances, the unspoken dominance in their bond. Jungkook never doubted his feelings. For him, Taehyung's silence was its own kind of love.

The scent of butter tea drifted through the apartment, warm and comforting. Jungkook stood in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up, humming softly to himself as he poured the steaming liquid into two mugs. His smile was as bright as the morning sun when he spotted Taehyung walking in, hair still messy from sleep, expression as unreadable as ever.

"Hey, sleepy bones," Jungkook chirped, placing a mug on the table. "Good morning."

Taehyung's gaze flicked toward him for a second before he slid into a chair with a quiet sigh. His reply was nothing more than a low, detached, "Hm."

Jungkook chuckled, not at all offended by the cold response. He was used to it - Taehyung's love was never spoken in words but carried in the way he showed up, in the silent presence that filled the room.

"Fine, fine," Jungkook teased as he set Taehyung's mug closer. "I'll take that hm as a 'good morning, Jungkook, you're the best boyfriend ever.'"

A faint twitch played at the corner of Taehyung's lips, almost a smile - but he stayed silent, wrapping his long fingers around the warm mug.

Jungkook leaned against the counter, sipping his tea, his eyes shining with energy that mornings always seemed to give him. Once he started talking, there was no stopping him.

"Today's going to be crazy," he said, words tumbling out in a rush. "The shop's packed with work, and tomorrow-ah, tomorrow's even bigger. All my workers are preparing for the tasting event. You know, that small business program where customers get to sample everything? If the main manager actually tries our coffee and chocolate, Taehyung-" his voice lifted with excitement, "-I might finally get those big deals I've been waiting for!"

Taehyung, halfway through a slow sip of his butter tea, only gave a quiet hum in response. His sharp eyes stayed on Jungkook, unreadable, as though he were weighing each word instead of reacting to the flood of chatter.

Jungkook, undeterred, continued with a grin. "I mean, just imagine! Our chocolate line being sold in department stores, our coffee beans stocked for wholesale! It'll be so good, and the staff is working really hard. I even promised them a celebration dinner if it goes well."

Taehyung finally set his mug down, tilting his head slightly. His tone was calm, clipped, but carried weight.
"Don't exhaust yourself."

The simplicity of the words, the way they cut through Jungkook's excitement with quiet authority, made Jungkook pause. A smile softened his lips as he looked at his boyfriend. He knew that was Taehyung's way of saying I'm proud of you. I'm worried for you.

"Mm. I'll take that as 'good luck,'" Jungkook said with a laugh, his voice warm enough for the both of them.

Jungkook finished his tea in a gulp and came closer, his energy still buzzing. He reached for Taehyung's hand, tugging gently until their fingers brushed. "Hmm," he murmured, leaning down so their faces were close. "Should I kiss you?"
