As the hours passed, Jungkook sat in his hospital cabin, surrounded by the beeping of machines and the soft murmur of nurses outside. He was a specialist in pediatric care, and he took great pride in his work.
In front of him, a small child sat on the examination table, looking up at Jungkook with wide, fearful eyes. Jungkook smiled warmly and gently, trying to put the child at ease.

"Okay, take a deep breath," Jungkook said softly, his voice calm and reassuring. "I'm just going to listen to your heartbeat, okay?"
The child nodded, still looking scared, but Jungkook's gentle tone seemed to calm them down a bit. Jungkook smiled again and began the examination, his skilled hands moving quickly and precisely as he checked the child's vital signs. Jungkook's face broke into a warm smile as he finished the examination. "Ok, as I can see, you look better," he said, his voice filled with relief and kindness.
The child's eyes lit up with excitement as Jungkook reached into his pocket and pulled out a large, colorful chocolate bar. "Here you go!" Jungkook said, handing the chocolate to the child.
The child's face erupted into a huge grin as they took the chocolate from Jungkook. "Thank you, doctor!" they exclaimed, their eyes shining with happiness.

Jungkook chuckled and ruffled the child's hair. "You're welcome, kiddo. Just remember to take your medicine and rest well, okay?" The child's mother bowed deeply to Jungkook, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Doctor," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "Thank you for taking care of my child."
Jungkook smiled warmly and nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're welcome," he said. "Take care of your child, and don't hesitate to come back if you need anything."
The mother nodded, bowing again before turning to leave. She took her child's hand, and together they walked out of the hospital room, leaving Jungkook alone once again. As the door closed behind the mother and child, Jungkook's smile faltered, and his eyes drifted upwards to stare at the ceiling. His mind began to wander, and he couldn't help but think about Lee.
He loved Lee with all his heart, but Lee didn't feel the same way. Jungkook's thoughts were filled with a deep sadness and longing. Why didn't Lee love him back?
