Chapter 20: A Night of Fate

(And thus, this is the final chapter. Yes, there are two more parts to this, but that's the epilogue and conclusion! I am really happy with the changes I've made to this, as well as editing this story. I am also surprised with how many views this has. Comparing this to my other site, this is so much better. I honestly want to leave it, but I'll just wait. Enjoy!)

           Feliciana, Germany, Japan, America, Canada, England, France, Russia, China, Korea, and Vietnam made their way to the throne room of the palace.

"Are you sure the darkness is in here?" England asked in a skeptical tone as he used his magic to scan for it, "I do not sense anything amiss here"

"Hai, it was here" Japan said with a serious expression as he looked at the damaged throne room, "This is where Vietnam used her powers to purge the darkness out of my heart and give it no form. It should've remained here"

Everyone was tense as they searched the throne room for any sign of Chaos and the darkness. They knew it couldn't be far and decided to search for it in the room. Little did they know it was hiding in their shadows, ready to strike them!

Lunging from the shadows, Chaos grabbed France's, America's, and Russia's shadows to suspend them before declaring a threat, "Did you believe your foolish attempt to stop me would be enough?! Pathetic! This is what happens when you dare threaten me!"

Everyone froze as Canada lunged to grab America's hand only for him to pull his hand away from her while struggling in the shadow's grasp. Germany cracked his whip and used it to tie around Russia's leg and tried to pull him away only for the shadows to snap the whip in half!

"No! Let them go!" Feliciana screeched as she lunged to help only for Germany to grab her arm and stop her from getting close to them.

They weren't sure how to help them, but England knew exactly what to do. He would not let this darkness take away his precious partner! He stood up and gathered lighting to his hand with the Lighting Tome of Europa only giving him more power.

"You will let them go right now!" England declared as he cast the lightning to strike the shadows holding all three of them!

The lightning was bright enough to scare Chaos and destroy the shadows, releasing Russia, France, and America!

"It doesn't like light!" Korea shouted as his dragon appeared behind him and covered everyone in a protective light.

England, Canada, and China rushed to France, America, and Russia to see how they were fairing until they heard Chaos laugh.

"If that was enough to make you change your plans to a defensive one, then there will be no hope for you to ever truly stop a formless being" Chaos commented in an amused tone, "Ah, that will not matter since I will be the one to create this world in my imagine anyway"

Darkness covered the area around them except for Korea's dragon glowing over them. They could not see through the darkness and remained close to each other, trying to find a way to stop the darkness and find a way out.

"Do not give up!" Feliciana encouraged before taking her arrows to aim ahead, "We will find a way out of this! Brilleremo luminosi come la luce!"

She released a few arrows through the darkness. The arrows pierced through it to give them some light. She grinned at the sight of the light as France drew his rapier to catch the light along the blade before reflecting it towards the surrounding darkness! Chaos hissed in pain as Russia noticed it tried to retreat.

"I do not think so!" Russia declared as he stomped his feet on the ground to have ice completely cover the ground and freeze the darkness in place!

France and Russia stood back-to-back as neither were willing to let the darkness and Chaos forget that dirty trick it used earlier.
