It was making me rather strong and giving me hope
Yes, it will take time to cope
With this unrequited love and all
But it wasn't a mistake to fall-

Never did I ever regret being in love with you
Yes, you aren't mine, nor am I yours
But I'm still and will be in love with you
I won't remember us as something to cry over
I will remember us as something nostalgic
As something that'll bring a smile on my face
Yes, we weren't one in this life
But I'll forever remember you
As someone who made me feel alive
In this lonely world, he helped me survive
And maybe we may never be together as I long to be
Your memory will forever stay with me
A bittersweet reminder what could never be
But even in absence, you'll always be
A part of me, a part of my history
