February 10th 7:12 amI frowned as I looked in the mirror this morning. I pulled at my hair, frustrated. Frustrated that I couldn't get it styled like how McKenna does her hair. Usually, I wouldn't care, but lately I've tried to care about my appearance. She usually does her hair in this pretty, messy, fishtail braid. I just ended up putting it in a ponytail, because my hair wasn't wanting to cooperate.
I looked through my closet trying to find a nice outfit, but McKenna was right, all I had was t-shirts. I threw a few t-shirts on the floor, frustrated.
"Mom!" I screamed.
"What, Jordyn?" She yelled from the kitchen.
"I have no clothes!" I screamed once again.
"You have tons of clothes!"
I groaned loudly and fell onto my bed. I checked my iPod to see it was 7:23. I better get ready. The bus comes around 7:35.
I hurriedly slipped on a random blue t-shirt, a pair of boot cut jeans, and my old worn out black converse. I then threw my bag over my shoulder and went to the kitchen to see Tyler holding his car keys in his hand.
"Can I ride with you to-" he interrupted me.
"Nope" he opened the front door and left. I groaned angrily and stepped outside, waiting for the bus. Tyler pulled out of the driveway just as the bus pulled up.
I slowly got on the bus, sitting in my seat, alone, plugging my earphones to my iPod and turning on my music.
I looked out the window for a few minutes before I softly started singing.
"I'm left seeing red on my own. Gotta a feelin' that I'm going un-"
"Shut up!" I heard someone scream from the back of the bus. I shrunk down in my seat and whispered: "I'll be needing stitches".
After many Shawn Mendes songs later, we arrived at the #1 most hated place by kids.
I put my iPod in my book bag and walked off the bus, not even caring if I cut in front of the high schoolers.
I soon arrived in homeroom, sitting at my seat. Mrs. Franklin took attendance and then we all walked to our first class. Mine being science class. I entered the class to see Hayes already there since it is his homeroom class. I smiled at him, as he did the same to me. McKenna took her seat next to him and waved at me. I waved back and smiled. He looked curiously between the both of us and shrugged.
"Okay class" Mr. Gallows clapped his hands to get our attention. It worked, as all of us turned to the front of the class.
"I'm assuming most of you had worked out a plan with your partner or partners on where to meet for your project, but if you haven't... what are you waiting for? Time goes by fast!" He said loudly. "Anyway, we have lots to do. And if you're wondering what I think you're wondering, no, we will not have time for our projects today. We have little time, and much notes"
The class groaned as he mentioned the horrid note taking.
"No whining. I'll make you write more!"
We began copying notes from the board about atoms, the lesson we've been learning recently. The bell had rung an hour later. Our notes were still not copied down all the way. Mr. Gallows has a habit of talking too much through the subject and we never get anything done.
"Okay, see you tomorrow! Don't forget about your projects" he told us as we were all leaving the class for lunch.
McKenna and Hayes stopped in front of me in the hallway. I turned around slowly and looked at them.
